I was driving on the highway, doing 110km/hr when a piece of plywood came flying off a pick-truck, struck the passengers side and the flipped and shattered our windshield! Was blind for 2-3 seconds! See the pictures.
F-N South Florida; no one ties down their stuff. The first week that I moved here, I was driving on 595 behind a miata. In front of him was a flat bed with a pick-up truck on it. All of a sudden, the cap on the pick-up truck flies off about 30 feet in the air and comes crashing down in the lane in front of us. Was totally surreal, like watching it in a movie. Miata swerves one way, we swerve another. Fortunately, no one hit it, but we did see all of the cars behind us come to a stop. The kicker is that the flat bed driver pulls to the side for a moment and then keeps going!GNsPR5 said:I had this EXACT same thing happen to me while driving back from Miami a couple years back in my old P5. The truck was actually exiting the highway when the plywood became airborne. It struck my bumper square on the edge, which put a big gash just left of the grill. The bottom grill was crushed in. Needless to say, I had to pay for the repairs myself, because it wasn't more than my deductible.
Sorry to see this happen to your CX-7...

I hate those kind of kids!! they should not be able to go to juvi...straight to JAIL!1Sleepy93 said:I've had a softball sized rock thrown by some kids on the edge of the highway hit my hood and then my windsheild at face level. Scared the piss out of me. Cops had several reports of cars getting struck by then and finally caught them.
