i agree... you obviously are not getting what I am saying. I don't doubt meha11 that he had to work on his TMIC before installing it, but i am saying that this is only one person. I KNOW that he not is the only one who has purchased said intercooler. All I am saying is if you are considering buying this piece, do more research before you immediately go for the more expensive one and write-off protege garage.
Point taken.

I have a very limited frustration factor and have been so unbelievably disappointed with products in the past (not car stuff, necessarily), that I guess I'm just easily put off as I get older.

My mouse has six buttons, for what it's worth.

Neat, must have the same one. For the record I agree with you not having patience for poor craftsmanship.

I guess it depends on what it is. It irritates my girlfriend to no end that I can settle for a Walmart computer chair or Target bookshelves, and yet I obsess about computer gadgets and expensive stuff like that. On the other hand, my expectations of a Walmart computer chair are sufficiently low that I'm not routinely disappointed.

To each his own...

There is no FMIC because of fitment issues from what I've heard, Nutari has this TMIC. And the intercooler itself is made by ets from what I've gathered which I belive is a different company and Nutari has pictures in the How To section and his doesn't look like that to me.

i will wait, there will bea FMIC soon, s*** buy a stock SRT-4 intercooler and make your own piping...

Thinking of that, i might check into this, Srt-4 intercooler are small, will fit/look very cool in the front fasica of the MS3, all you need to do is work piping which is nothing as long as u got a good exhaust shop around

It took me less than an hour to file down that plate and install 316SS hardware. I also ran a bead of silicone around to fill in the gap.

I did that for many reasons, 1. i wanted to use my new gun from my last home depot trip, 2. i have an ass load of silicone in my garage for some reason, 3. i think it gives a cleaner look and 4. it will stop air from leaking through therefore maximising flow/volume across the coolong fins (i think).

the silicone is supposed to dry clear, then i think it will look just fine.

will post results after install.

FYI i do have a job and a little of what i like to call i life so dont jump all over me if it takes a couple of days.

I installed the TMIC on Thursday evening then did the test on Friday so the car had a day to get used to it.

Ive added the vid to photobucket but to be honest its not worth watching, I lent my camera to someone so used my cell phone for the vid. When I watch it here its not too bad but when watched over the net its s*** so youll have to take my word for the times.

http://s173.photobucket.com/albums/w76/meha11/

0-100 4th TMIC = 7.8 seconds
0-100 6th TMIC = 12.2 seconds

I got the CIA yesterday so will install it today. I will wait till I get the camera back before I post times so the vid is better for you guys. Next week sometime I will remove the TMIC and post results of the CIA only for those of you that are interested.

Testing was done again on private property at about 65* ambient temperature 2 people in car with tank of gas.

How does the Butt dyno "feel " with the newer IC? Can you seriously tell a difference?

Times tell a difference, but nothing signifigant IMO.

i,m gona say yes i think i can tell the difference. i hardly ever nail it in 1st and so far i have only pushed it in 4th and 6th for the tests. so the "butt dyno" has felt the same effects in lower gears before if you know what i mean.
i timed the run on thursday night too, 6th gear took 11.5 seconds and i had doubts about what gear i was in so i did it again on friday and decided to post fridays results instead because i was on my own on thurs.
this testing is very crude, i think every time i do it the times would be different.
i think almost 1/2 a second in 4th and 3/4 second in 6th is a good difference.

CIA is installed now too.

The Beast is unleashed, man this car is fast as hell now. Traction light comes on in second on dry pavement without foot all the way down, the car pulls hard, i dont know any 60-100 times yet but this thing is on fire. Grin factor is up 200%.

zoom-zoom, whoosh-whoosh(dance)

Where are you from Meha? I can't tell if you're a brit, an aussie, a southerner, or mildly retarded. :)

It was the "ready, steady, go!" thing. We yanks say "ready, set, go!"

I am often fascinated by the the smallest of things. Small nuances in what we say and how we say it is intriguing to me.

Cheers either way and thanks for sharing the videos.
