Keep in mind that a LITTLE bit of dirt is normal, as you are technically setting off mini controlled explosions in the combustion chamber.

K Kansei Banned Jan 22, 2007 #4 That's usually how my plugs look after a few thousand miles. Some carbon buildup is normal. I don't bother with the iridium plugs on my car though because they don't really seem to last much longer and cost a hell of a lot more.

Click to expand... it says its not recommended to gap iridiums....but i decreased the gap just a bit. there are about .037 now from .044
