Nice hood! I strongly suggest (even if it is new) getting the hood re-clearcoated because they are infamous to turn yellow after only a year.

My order just went through for mine as well so I should get mine on monday!!! hells yeah, looks awesome!

Even if its garaged keept?

carbon fiber looks cool but over time youll see it wears out really fast, especially if thats your everday driver but that looks tight, i almost wanna get one, how much did that hood run you? either way mad props

That's not completely true. It all comes down to how the hood has been prep'd and if it's been clear coated or not. Our hoods never yellow, or fade, even if driven year round (I use my personal one in the winter even).

The best thing you can do to protect your hood is to apply a good quality clear coat finish (eg. PPG). Most manufactures do not clear coat their products, it is simply a shiny gel coat finish. On that note, every one of our products is finished with PPG clear coat ;).

I've had the hood for almost 3 years and it looks brand new. Everyone is so surprised when I say the hood is 3 yrs. old.

It's mostly garage kept though.

very true...good point...my experience with carbon fiber hoods has been different but yah..

I bought my car with an EVO VIS hood and it looks like crap. I am saving up to get it painted. I would recomend the clear coat just to cover your ass.

after 10 months or it being in the elements im as started to yellow:( i cant garage it so it stays outside. compared to the new dg prodcuts i just installed, its very noticable.

What does EVO mean in this context, exactly?

At first I assumed it meant that this was a hood for a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and it just happened to fit the P5, but googling turned up EVO hoods for other cars. It didn't seem very likely that one hood would fit so many different cars. Some are said to be "EVO style" though, whatever that means. For instance:

So does the hood from a Mitsubishi really fit perfectly on a P5???

EVO meaning style originated from the Mitsu EVO.

"EVO style" refers to the two big air intakes in the hood, or is there more to it than that? The flat parts of the CF hoods all look more or less the same to me.
