I was actually talking about the auto-climate control unit. How difficult would it be to obtain one and do a swap in our cars?

Might have external temp sensors somewhere in the cabin, etc to worry about. I just want the heated mirrors.

is there any way to import one of the sport 20's with the awd 170 hp engine into the americas

There was a guy on here a couple years back. UPSman that did the complete conversion. He had the FS-ZE (170hp) motor in a 99 or 00 model protege sedan. So a search. I beleive he was able to do the whole conversion through corksport.
