Question During GT Spec Trunk install

So I'm taking all the brackets and everything out so I can install the trunk bars. However, there's this one box with wires going into it...I have no idea what it is, what it does, where the wires go. It was bolted to the driver's side bracket. I'll post up pics of the box in a few minutes.

Help!

I just bolted mine in one of the free holes where the speakers use to go I think

sorry to thread jack, but when you put in the gt spec trunk kit, do you lose the mounts for the stock msp amp rack. I know you lose the amp rack for sure, but can you use the mounts over?

not sure. haven't installed the bars yet, but i'll let you know what i find out.

ah thats what its for, well if I had known that I would have ripped it out its just dead weight since I dont need a defroster lol

well if u just followed the wire u would have found out mr. i mean u did an engine swap, following a wire too much for u ?

While we're on the subject, $2 paypal'd to anyone who can get me a picture of a full P5 rear trunk set installed... and don't bother posting sedan/msp kits, because I've seen them all. Looking for just the P5 bars installed.
