thanks guys, keep the pics coming. i'll be picking up a set of 205/50 for my stock wheels in a couple weeks.

Nice thread. I was also wondering what the 205/50 would look like. Doesn't seem to be much to pick from in the 195/50.

the difference is so small, it is tough to tell. I have some pics of yokos on my car at home, and will try to get them up tonight.

I found a big difference in ride quality..I find the 205 50's soak up the bumps and potholes much better.
this is more likely a function of the sidewall characteristics of the particular brand of tires you purchased as compared to the stock tires (the difference in sidewall height is just 0.2")

Im gonna be picking up some Kumho asx's real soon. So would it be better to get 205 instead of OE size of 195? Is it worth the 12 dollars a piece extra?

How different are the sidewalls of the Falken 512's compared to the stock dunlops?

If you decide to get the OEM size, I would recommend the Michelin Pilot A/S from Tire Rack. They are $150/pc., but they have a 60k treadlife and ride really quiet. I too was going to get 205/50/r16, but was told this would cause premature wear and trear on the suspension and steering, and also if you look at the tires from the side, they seem to buble out a bit. Your choice.

not sure - maybe someone who has had these tires can comment ;)

I concur. (I think that's how you spell that) If you put 305 width tires on the front that might put some strain on the front suspension but not with 205s.
