I just picked up a 2010 5 with ~73k miles. 5spd. Among other things it needs tires (came with mismatched pairs front and rear) The wheels are looking pretty shoddy so been looking around for replacements. Found a set of 16s off a 2014 Mazda 3 with new rubber 205/55/16 and TPMS already installed for a decent price. The only potential issue I can find is that the wheels from the 3 are ET50 whereas the OEM are ET53 (52.5) on the 5. Will this 2.5mm difference matter?
Seems very small to cause any fitment issues, but I haven't looked underneath at clearances.
On another note anyone running oversized tires? like a 205/55/17 or a 205/60/17? Would like to have a little more ground clearance, more rubber and even slightly lower RPM in the fast lane.
