Does something not look right in this picture?
The "L" pipe that goes into the fmic doesn't line up perfectly but I did the best i can do. Now that that piece is in the other end of the "L" pipe doesn't seem to fit into the coupler all the way.
and the bracket doesn't line up w/ the hole....

help?!?!?!

I think you have to remove that gaurd or whatever that is that was in front of the stock smic

nope, that bracket holds the AC condensor inplace. it needs to stay put.

i would just try shifting the pipes a little each time and checking the fitment after each shift to check on their postions. one of your pipes could have been jigged incorrectly though.

a jig is when the pipes are bent, the machine follows a template, called a jig. If your pipes were imporperly jigged, it means that the bends could possibly be bent wrong.

hope this helps

the way they bent and welded the pipes together, its a part of the fabrication process. i would call juan tomorrow and tlak to him about the problem because he'll send you out a new piece asap if needed.

your right! I thought the hot pipe was suppose to run though there but after checking out some pics its suppose to go around it.

WTF. nothing is matching up right. (deadhorse

It looks like the top pipe was made too long. I dont see how that could have happened though. Can you rotate the cold pipe to mate up with it or will it throw it off somewhere else along the way?

Hows the fitment in the other areas? can you cheat it a bit at first, then coax everything in snug once everything is attached?

good luck man

Did you already tighten the clamps that are on the cold side piping (the ones that you could put on that is)???

If so, loosen all the clamps back up and you can get a lot more room to adjust the pipes.

Same goes for ANY FMIC piping install. Always get ALL of the pipes fully set up before you tighten a single clamp, then go back and tighten them starting on one side and ending at the other.

what he said!

this still isn't right. even if it did the hks would hit the hood.

In the middle pic below, it looks like you might be able to tuck the top pipe in closer to the TB. If you can squeeze it closer, your top pipe should angle down further into the engine bay.

have you removed all clamps so just the silicone fittings are holding together? I would try the above, and try to angle the cold pipe more to the front of the engine bay. If you can get the coupler on, then you can just work your way around the setup, tweaking and clamping as you go.

No good there. Your intake has to go between the cold and hot side pipes, and it looks like they are too close together now that you made the connection.:( Sorry man, but looks like that upper pipe is a bit too long, or there is something else that I am not seeing here. Good luck.

Im thinking the same thing since the top pipe is all the way in and the bottom pipe is all the way in.

Paul, All pipes are mandrel bent in a CNC machine so they are exactly the same. Do not clamp all pipes together until you can align them properly. This will allow you to move them and get them right. I think that you have the S pipe (the one coming out of the intercooler) upside down. The S pipe should go down, then the short 2.5 pipe and then into the charge pipe.
