If I was to remove these 2 grill things( bottom left and right) and replace them with something that would allow cooler air in...do you think it would improve performance??? Of course I know it won't be noticable but don't you think it would add to whetever else I do...such as....intake, etc.

im not saying it will boost performance but it wont hinder it any I took a dremmel to mine and opened it up got a little more noise nothin big. but think about this now there is more air on that overly hot tansmission sounds good to me, besides how will open holes create more drage than a flat piece of plastic?

I would think that you would be able to get more air into the CAI since it sits right behind the one on the drivers side, I thought about replacing them with something mesh so the air could get through myself.

Been there done that...some people recieved CELs from it...1 of the reasons injen put out a 2nd version with a heat shield to deflect the air and a cel warning. It will increase the sound(Not Noise!) of the engine and air flow...best gain is if you went and found the part#s for the wagons left front splash guard cause that's vented.
