boost leak

I just removed my Wagner FMIC and put my stock one back on for finacial reasons. I just want to confirm this problem I am having. The reinstallation went smoothly. The only thing that is different from when it was stock is the vacuum line to the stock BPV. I used 1/8 vacuum which shouldn't matter anyway but FYI. I go and take it for a test drive and no more turkey. It just whistles at low rpms like 3k and then I accelerate more and hesitation. That sounds like a boost leak correct? Also, when I took off the stock IC pipe, before installing the Wagner kit, there was some adhesive of some sort that came off where the pipe connects to the IC. It looked liked electric tape and I threw that away and now that pipe is a little loose which makes me think its prob that. Let me know what you think. Thx. Pics of stock setup.

hehe read my write-up in the forced induction section(just wrote it to solve this kind of problem)...hehe the pieces you threw away were essential for the pipes to seal...simple fix, but thats your problem right there...
