Buzzing sound 2023 CX-5

Uhh...I think that is something else. We aren't all driving around with bad transmissions

Just an update, when I took it to Mazda for an oil change and had them check the issue, turns out it was the entire transmission that was faulty. They ended up replacing it at no cost. Problem is gone completely and never came back. The mechanics said it’s very rare but can happen. I was a little bummed ngl that my brand new vehicle (at the time) was delivered to the dealer with a faulty transmission. This should’ve been caught by some type of quality assurance at the Mazda factory in Japan but ohh well, I’m just happy they replaced it. It’s now April 2026 and haven’t had a problem since, so a few years later now and still going strong so all good! Hope this helps someone.
So you had the same buzzing sound as in the TheTopher video? Did they mention what in the transmission was faulty? If we know what that is specifically we might be able to test for it specifically.

EDIT: It being the transmission wouldn't surprise me. When it's super cold (-30C) I do hear a very loud and noticeable whirl or whistle sound at exactly 32km/hr. It goes away fairly quickly as it warms up, usually within a minute of driving. I wasn't sure what to think of that because it happened only a few times, but perhaps it's related?

Yup, that's the sound. I'd like to know what it is. I think people are onto the right causes, being either fuel injector related, or a vibration of something attached to the engine.
