2025 CX-5 Lowering Springs

Hello All,

I'm new here and am trying to find out if anyone has lowered a 2025 CX-5. I am wanting to lower a base model 2025 2.5L.
Corksport says their springs are compatible with the 2025. H&R says their springs have only been tested as far as the 2023 model. I am awaiting a response from Eibach.

Does anyone know if there are significant changes in suspension across the 2017+ CX-5s that would cause incompatibility with respect to lowering springs?

The CS springs were designed for the AWD Turbo, so the ride height will be slightly higher in the front with the lighter NA car. Probably not a big deal. But as long as you are AWD they will work.

I wouldn't suggest using lowering springs for the turbo version, on the NA car. There is a weight difference.

I really want to go with the Eibach set. I think the only way to get them is from Europe, unless someone here may know of a USA source.

The original struts on your car are long lasting. I'm well over 300k km on my original struts, and they are still firm. Lowering springs will greatly reduce their longevity. Consider coil overs.

2022 Signature Turbo with Corksport lowering springs. Rides and handles better than stock IMO.

I would definitely expect OEM to last longer. But there are simply too many variables to give a definitive answer on how long when compared to each other.

Absolute truth coil overs will perform better! Just making a daily driver with the CX-5. My other car is for spirited driving.

Thanks! Original plan was to sell it, as it's very difficult for me to get out of these days. But, every time I take it out of the garage to clean it up to sell, I take a drive thru a local canyon, and it goes right back in the garage. Then I have a hard time wiping the smile off my face for a few days. Lol

Probably right. My other car has kinda that sports car feel, and I've gotten use to that. The 5 felt top heavy stock. Mine will likely never see more than a dusty paved road. Lol

Got the corksport springs installed on my 25 signature last week, love them. Looks much better , handling and ride is a bit smoother.

I found the original suspension a bit stiff, now it has a smooth luxurious feel to it. I'll update once I get the alignment redone in a week or two.

Just so everyone understands, the spring rates on the Corksport springs are stiffer than stock by 17% up front and 35-70% in the rear depending on what the OEM rear spring rate actually is (4.1 kg/mm from online sources vs Corksport who claims ~5.5 kg/mm).
