2017 cx5 gt
I recently got a 2017 cx5, grand touring with premium package in Soul red. I got the Mazda all weather mats and the Mazda Mobile Start. I plan to get the windows tinted soon and other minor mods. My first Mazda was a 2003 Mazda 6...through the years I had a 2008 speed 3 and most recently a 2015 Mazda 6. I'm not new to this forum but I couldn't remember my password so I just recreated a new username....I used to be Bluelion.

Would you mind sharing your thoughts on going from a Speed3 to a Mazda6 and CX-5? Mainly interested in your thoughts on the performance and highway passing.

Well the speed 3 is the obvious winner in that category... I actually had a few vehicles between speed 3 and Mazda 6.... But comparing the Mazda 6 to cx5, the 6 was quicker and more responsive. Obviously since it's a little lighter. So far gas mileage was better in the 6, but I'm ok with that since the cx5 is roomier.

Exactly. 6 is faster and more fuel efficient because it's lighter but CX-5 has better throttle response

Love that red!! I almost went with that, but decided on the snowflake pearl. If I didn't have a red car before, I would have been all over the soul red!

I'm still worried about scuffing my rims at the tunnel wash though!

Nice car man i got the exact same one but without the mobile start since it requires yearly subscription fee to use.

I was hesitant also, but when they said it's like $65 a yr ($5 and change month) that's minimal to me. I'd rather pay for that, than XM radio.

All reviews on MMS are not good. I guess now you should have already found out how slow the MMS to start the engine remotely.

Yeah I read the reviews and that's also why I was hesitant.... But for ME, it's not a big deal. It's just a matter of logging in and waiting a few seconds. And I'm not starting my car as I'm walking to it, I'm starting it while I'm still inside my house/work. So it's perfect temp once I get in.
