So thoughts after driving on the base file a couple of days:
Throttle response is better, I don't have nearly as much lag from tip-in to engine acceleration as I used to. At first I thought it may have been a placebo effect but I'm now pretty certain it isn't.
Second gear pulls a lot better. I hated second gear, especially when the trans is left in auto mode but there is a definite improvement.
Rev limiter is higher! I used to get throttle cut between 6-6.5k rpms where the vehicle would start to fall flat on its face, now I can rev it to 7000 and it just keeps pulling. I haven't tested it yet to see where throttle cut-off starts, I think I hit 7200 this morning before letting off. I'm going to find out from Joe exactly where the limiter starts now.
Now that the PCM has been given a couple of days to relearn and settle, I am going to begin datalogging tonight. I will hopefully have my datalog files ready to send to him by the beginning of next week. I wish I had time to do it all at once but due to a busy family life I don't have that kind of free time.
