The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Just the annual famlily fishing trip for me this year and a weekend in Cincinnatti for a Red's game and family stuff so far. I don't think we'll travel much this year, too many house projects we want to try to get done this summer.

The wife and I are trying to go to Sacramento this year to help her parents out at their annual chaplain's conference. We get to stay in this bitchin' two-bedroom suite for a week for free and all we have to do is let people in from 7-9 a.m. as it's their hospitality room. Then the rest of the day is ours. Then I'm going to be in a friend's wedding in Nashville in September.

We're likely heading to upstate NY the week of the 4th of July to visit my extended family. I try to head up there every two years or so. My wife also wants to check out Niagara Falls since it isn't too far away. I'm trying to convince her to go up a few days early so we can catch the USCR race at Watkins Glen.

Jennifer and I are going to Virginia beach and Hilton head this summer. Hope to get to a couple other places too just hope the ms3 isn't too drone happy when its back out so I can take it on road trips

Anywhere specific in VB or just the Ocean Front? I grew up there so I always find it weird when people say they're going there on vacation.

I was beginning to plan a weekend or half week trip to NC this summer, however that idea got stopped quickly. We found out #2 is on the way, and traveling with a pregnant lady is not appealing to me, plus she now has to save all her PTO for the time off at the end of the year.

Congrats on #2!

I travelled with a 7 months pregnant lady to Myrtle Beach last year and survived, so I know it can be done.

My wife has me stop almost every other rest station if not ever rest station, when she isn't pregnant

TBH I don't know. Jennifer has family that lives about 15 minutes from "the beach" so I said we will make a trip down there to see them. Her uncle has MS so we will visit as he hasn't been able to travel up to us in a long time

Congrats on #2. Our #2 is due in May so we'll be travelling with a <2 month old. Considering how my wife is right now with bathrooms I wouldn't want to drive anywhere either.

I was going to ask where but just about everywhere in VB is "15 minutes from the beach." We always head that way a couple times a year since both our families are still in the immediate area.

No music at work is making me go a little crazy.

Nice! Yeah I wish I knew where exactly but knowing Jennifer she will get me the details of where I need to go an hour before we leave

What's everyone's plans this weekend?

iHeart radio not working, can't watch the baseketball tourny, but imsa.com has no problem stream the race!

Maybe you should do, I don't know, work??

Went to the auto show today. Not as big as the Cleveland Show, but it was just right for the wife to walk around it without complaining. The new interior of the CX-5 is very nice.

With two screens multitasking is pretty easy, but I don't have any work to do...

Too bad it doesn't have enough power to compete with anything in it's market. I'd be really tempted to get one if it had some get up & go to it.

I mean, for what it is, it's not terrible. However, you are right. My dad's in the market for something more utilitarian to replace his 2009 WRX and he took it off his list because it's not powerful enough for him.

Ess-cop-ay it is then for your dad. I'm sure he can find a hook up for a discount plan [emoji6]
