Still, did you get any grief for classing into FSP? I'm stock(or STF) eligible except for my 8" wide wheels, and FSP seems like a logical fit, but it's not an explicitly eligible car in the Rulebook.

Bone stock suspension with some decent tires and 15x8 rotas. Unclassed, because it was a Solo driver's school day. The car was a lot sharper than I expected, and a ton of fun. It's definitely giving me something to think about for next season--maybe giving my subaru the year off.

Not too much grief. I emailed the SCCA Solo rule guy and he told it is eligible for FSP.

Thank you, jasyatz (and everyone who has posted your comments to photos of the Little Deuce Hatch).

Last one for a while, I promise (no events for a couple weeks). This was last Sunday at PittRace. Photographer was Ethan Connor. Properly lowered now, and all the negative camber the slotted struts will allow (K-Sport coil-overs/springs&dampers).

So. Been working and working toward it. I know, it's been a long time off, and I wasn't all that good way-back-when (merely a good regional-level driver). But, my gut (and my butt) kept telling me that I Should Be Doing Better.

Finally. The elusive first 1st. Ahhhhh!

Still, need to improve my driving, I'm still not back where I was (gut and butt are in agreement there). However, it's gratifying to know I'm getting closer. :)

The wife? I could only wish mine wanted to get more involved.

Good magnetic number sets are all over for $100 or less for the full 20 digits. make sure you ask the shop that makes them for (4) 1's and only one pair of 6/9's

Haha home depot heat/air conditioning magnetic vent covers. $6 for 3 strips. Good magnets. Just need to cut the numbers bigger next year. The magnets in the pic were a last second thing.

And this was the wife's first event and she was put off because she didn't get it. Pushing her to keep trying.

I tried for years to get my wife involved. It may not have helped that the 1st event she went to with me a guy totalled his STi. But for some reason as soon as we got a miata she was into it. Now she likes track days so autocrossing has been moved to the backburner. Which is weird considering how much more expensive and dangerous track days are. So maybe you just need to find a car she really likes.

I've had 17 different cars in the last 20 years I've been auto crossing and she loves driving them, but has no interest in getting out on track.. I've done some track events also and she won't even come. She's only seen me Autocross maybe 3 times so maybe it's just me she doesn't care for?...

I kid of course. But I can say with great certainty, I've only been antiquing once, and would rather break all my fingers on both hands than EVER do that again...
