The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

anybody going to the August meet able to install Autotech internals? lol

I've only seen someone do them once on a friends car but I wouldn't say a HPFP internals are a parking lot kind of job, mate.

I had to look it up. Not really the best kind of meet to be working on your car at.

Internals aren't that hard to do, but I wouldn't do it on the parking lot away from your garage.
I learned the hard way - had to tow my car from Pablo's place when we did it.
But it took probably like 20 minutes? Just have to be careful with the fuel lines and need the right wrench for those long @ss bolts.

I gotcha...I just straight up dont trust myself lol. I've had them since like February - I've been so damn busy with work, motorcycle, gf, moving, life in general - I'm tired of seeing them sit there. I have a garage with a 6" vise if anyboy has done it b4 and is willing to help - i'd pay for their dinner or buy a case of delicious alcohol bevarage!

For those of u who are in the dark...The internals are for the HPFP - for cars that have modifications (AP, SRI, tuned) it allows you to push more fuel thru your engine. It doesnt really make ur car faster, it prevents your engine from being starved from FP. It's more of a security thing so ur engine doesnt go (zzb) zoom zoom boom.

lulz Jake.
The internals can only go one way, really. I'm sure there are a crap ton of how-tos. Just take your time with it and you'll be ok. It's pretty hard to f*ck up.
I'd help you, but I don't have a single drivable car right now... and the weather is not exactly bike friendly.

Edit. You are on colu. Pfft. You'll probably have to find someone local. :)

thats the thing, no one is willing to help in the COL area, either here or MSF
I have seen the how to video's - but i didnt feel confident. I'll take another look @ the vid & see if I can rough it out lol

This is the meet.

Ha, I was thinking engine internals, not fuel pump. How hard is it compared to replacing a fuel pump? I've done that several times
