The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

On mazda's FB page they get some crap from people when they post that they won their class- lots of people saying it's not much of a victory when there's only one other car in the class. I think it's a good enough victory, wooooo....
...and when i read articles about Daytona they all seem to mention the carman as leading the mazdas the whole race, then one had some quote from someone on the team about how he was so proud their little team could win and they'd worked so hard for it. I don't remember if there were other cars in the GX class for daytona, but i do remember the mazdas were out like immediately... That bit of BS is good enough to get me on board with the mazda fanbois and i'm always happy when they over glorify (to some people... not to me ;) ) their victories.

There were 6 cars in the field for Daytona. All three Mazdas were out within the first 6 hours from issues with non-Mazda parts. While winning against another 6 and a Cayman doesn't sound all that impressive, people need to take a look at who is driving that BGB Cayman. Those guys... Spencer Pumpelly is no joke. Jim Norman is proving to be good too.

Don't worry. Next year should prove to have more competition for Mazda... wherever they end up.

functional logic diagrams for a pulse jet fabric filter. SAMA logic diagrams showing the program for the control system for the plant. It's really a lot of fun, and only 106 pages (if I can ever get to working on it)

Macbook has the same Intel style hardware as the Dell. The Dell most likely has better hardware. You are having an issue with the software. PCs can run Mac OS. http://www.osx86project.org/

My dell is also too big to carry around so I'm looking for a more mobile computer, ultrabook or something along the air lines. Also like the way the mac's feel, Every PC that I have compared to the macbook air just feels like a lesser product

Anytime someone says their swamped at work I'm going to tell you to get off the forums then. :D

his posts were between 12-1, the man is allowed time on forums for lunch!! even if he is 'swamped" :P

and regarding the whole like getting paid to surf the forums and occasionally reply to an email or answer a call.

i like that too, BUT given the opportunity to change careers and potentially make alot more money, i wouldnt say no...

Example, if a position opened up where my buddy works as an Operating Engineer (heavy equipment driver at construction sites) i would seriously consider it... yes its leaving the comfort of an office, and yes its not easy work BUT its also like double what i what i make now, plus SERIOUS potential to triple (or more) given overtime

If he's swamped he should be working through his lunch break. lulz

I have no college degree, been here 10 years, co-workers are all good friends of mine now and I really like my job. No stress, no pressure. I like that I'm in sales/customer service and don't work off of commission. If a customer calls and only needs half of what he originally thought I'll tell him so to save him some money. And I get to go above and beyond for our customers, like I typically would for anyone in or outside of work. I feel guilty getting paid well (well, I consider pretty well at $18/hour) for sitting here by the phone. But then I remember my boss is a millionaire and owns two Priuses and I don't feel bad anymore. haha

So this is where that chunk of C6C lives.

I bought myself a red car. It is not a speed or have a rotary so I do not expect to do any fun things to it. Then again I never expected to do anything to my green car. It just happened. And oddly enough the new car has a manual. Weird how that leaves open some fun future possibilities.

I might try to drop in on a meet or two and I'm really going to try to get down to Mid-Ohio next year - assuming it's still part of the ALMS/Grand Am combined schedule.

yeah i knew what you meant, and feel that if you like what you do and make enough to live comfortably, then by all means go for it!

i was more saying, i dont love nor hate where i work now... the people are pretty cool (for the most part) BUT given the chance to leave an office job for a "labor" job... i would consider it and seriously weigh all the pros and cons given some of the labor jobs i could make double or triple what i make now

Heh, if you can live with yourself, I know the "fracking" natural gas companies are paying $40/hour to run a back-hoe for 5-6 days/week dusk to dawn, and you get paid OT. I'm sure they are still hiring like crazy.
