AWR Mount for DD?

So... I came across this little expose on SURE:

http://**************************/f...********-com-design-flaws-danger-139503/?pg=4

Makes me a little nervous spending extra money on a part that might not last. Anybody want to chime in that has been running a Torq R2 for a while? I'm interested in how the AWR bushings are holding up, too.

Hey thanks for posting this , the hyper link didnt work for me but I googled it . It's always tough to know if a company is doing all the testing and shakedowns on there new parts. This post was eye opening to say the least , I was excited to order the motor mount from sure , I will be steering clear now .

Hmm... can't get the link to work. Maybe they don't want us posting links to competing forums? Maybe try the one below and just click the first link:

Anyway, I was finally being won over by the argument that the Torq R2 was worth the extra cash, but now I'm balking. Perhaps it will just end up saving me money, but I really hope the AWR mount doesn't cause more NVH than I can handle in a daily driver.

Good find, and thanks for posting up!! I will SUREly be steering clear of their products.

I've had the torq2 mount now for over 6k miles. Vibration has gone from minimal to almost none existent (or maybe I've become more use to it). Still minimal drivetrain lash; much better than stock.

Would you be willing to take a quick peak to see what the condition of the bushings are? That's my main concern with the SURE product.

I ordered my RMM 70duro last 5th June... and my order is showing awaiting shipment, been like that for the last week or so :( Man, too bad Corksport doesn't make a rear engine mount, I would have have it already.

this happened to me when i ordered mine, they ran out right as i ordered and it took awhile to get them made/powder coated, should be to you soon though

We have one of the AWR mounts in stock if someone needs one right away. You would have to give us a call and ask for me to get it though since we do not have it listed online.

I might be interested Derrick. Do you have an idea on price?

This really sucks Derrick, I'm waiting for this part and you guys had one for sell all a long. I could have added it to my spring/SRI/Ram Air box/shift plate order :(

Sorry man :(

It was something we picked up for a local customer and didn't intend to sell otherwise.

I have the 70 and this thing is great you'll love it! Little bit of drone when shifting the first gear but after that you barely notice it. Increase shifting feel so much combined with the CS SSP.

Got to install my AWR mount yesterday after I completed my oil change. I'm really happy with the results. My 2 feels super connected to me know, downshifts have improved ten-fold. I'm really happy with this mount! I was limited on how high I was able to lift my 2, so I had really little room during the install. I found it easier to remove the 3 bolts that hold the bracket attached to the transmission housing and then attach the new mount while on the work bench. It was a pretty tight squeeze for that side while the lager size that mounts to the subframe bracket slid right in with no fuss. All and all, I'm super satisfied. I'm amazed on how this little commuter car has made the transition to a little go cart.

I just got my RMM after almost 2 months of waiting for it. Well the part looks great but it came without instructions, torque specs. I have to look it up, or use the same torque I used with my JBR on the MS3
