AWR Mount for DD?

I'm late to the AWR party but I wanted to add my 2 cents. Install was super quick. Test drive was all smiles. The mount makes the car better in every way. However I know for a fact that my girlfriend is going to ask if my car is broken. The vibration when starting the car and taking off in first gear were the only "wow that's loud" moments. Idle and rowing through the rest of the gears is smooth as silk.

I filled my stock mount with 3M window weld and it didn't make enough of a difference for me to not buy the AWR.

When I installed mine, after about a week the loudness has gone down to barely noticeable. That or I just got used to it.

I have the 88 and I get vibrations in 1st...2nd...3rd.....4th............. and 5th lol. It sort of goes away between 2 and 3k. Vibrations heavy from 1k to 1800. Car really loud between 3500 and 4500. Am i the only one experiencing this with the 88? I sometimes feel like they accidentally sent me a 95. Oh and also it took me about 1 1/2 months to "break" the mount in. Any one else think I got a 95 or am I just a puss?

Well when I used to have the Speed3 with my JBR 80duro winter temp was gauged by how much shacking the car made on start up.

I didnt know you had the mount. I will make sure to talk with you tomorrow. Also what made you get the 88 over the 75 ?

So I'm trying to figure out a similarity between ngd298 and me. I am having similarly serious vibrations since the install this afternoon. Idle to 1500 is pretty unbearable. I had a lot of trouble getting the transmission side of the mount in and the subframe side is tight. I wonder if this is causing my mount to act almost like a solid steel rod rather than a mount with vibration absorbing bushings. I DD my car in serious traffic, so low RPM comfort is very important to me. I really like the vastly improved clutch feel so I want to see if there's something I can do to resolve this issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

drive for ~200 miles, recheck the bolts, and then wait just a little bit. I remember the first few times i started the car after installing the mount and it was noticeable, after about a week i didn't even notice it anymore. Some people have serious vibrations that i never had though, for instance i never had any rattle or rear-view mirror shaking.

So I've given it about 200 miles, and the NVH is still way too much for my old man ears from idle to 1500 rpms. I'm going to fill the the stock mount with 60A poly like this thread I found.

just realized you had the 88 duro, i went with 70 duro, maybe that durometer difference is much more NVH than the 70. Honestly with the 70 i don't even remember what stock felt like. There is a difference though, the engine makes more noise in the cabin, which i actually like. When starting from a stop it sometimes makes slightly more vibrations in the cab, but that's it. I don't even notice it, no one ever says anything. What people usually ask me about is the rear spring noise from the bilsteins, but if you have your spare/trunk lid/cargo cover/ seats folded up, basically a normal car prep, it's silent. I usually just don't use my spare/trunk lid/cargo cover, and have the seats folded down so there is much less noise dampening.

No, I'm supposed to have the 70. And my vibration is pretty violent, like all the mirrors shake so much everything is a blur in them. Was your mount really tight to install?
