The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I thought you just got that job not too long ago? Or maybe it was a promotion or something?

Side note.....you all remember the deal with my brother's Trailblazer SS? Spun a bearing, got a new motor, but when he picked it up, it still had a little knock to it! They told him to break it in, but after driving it all summer, around 5,000 miles, it was still there. Dropped it back off for the winter, and I guess they're putting ANOTHER MOTOR IN IT!! hahahaha That poor, molested vehicle.

I was hired back into the company in February, I left in June '10 because my boss at the time sucked and to help my mom with her health issues etc.

Are these factory engines they're putting in or are they remanned LS2s?

I guess remanned, not from GM either. Luckily for him, they used some new supplier that they never dealt with before! yAY for being their guinea pig!

And they're being kind enough to go with the SAME supplier for the new motor. Nothing like making the same mistake twice! Cause you know, it's super easy to swap a motor in for a third time...

Nate, havent you ever heard the saying... if you have to ask, you probably cant afford it

haha :P

lol, I already know I probably can't, unless they give a nice discount for the ugly chrome accents added on.

ya, my boost is spiking under full throttle and the ECU cuts the fuel. Mods: Begi intake and TBI, FM downpipe w\cat, MBC set to 10psi. I want to know if a ported turbo will fix that and if it will still get rid of the problem if I complete the exhaust and add a bigger IC. There is a chance the MBC is not working properly, but I don't feel like spending $300 on a AEM tru boost if I don't have to.

Phen wanted to know if there is a good cam + head work setup he can have done, or if its better to leave it alone. He thinks he needs to change the valve seals.

Text me if he has follow up questions or something
I'll be honest. I was way too intimidated to barely even talk to him. 1. He's pretty quiet and 2. I didn't expect him to be... not ugly. lol. And the rest of the weekend at the race was chaoticccccc. Sorry :/

No biggie, I'm still planning to 'upgrade' the turbo next year but I didn't want to spend that money if I didn't have to. I've emailed him a couple of times, but since I haven't bought much from them I don't want to bother him too much, as he's taken a few days to respond to other questions when I was having brake issues. If you had fun with them, you should come out to the Grand Am races

More than you can afford pal......MazdaSpeed!

Probably mid to high-teens. I wonder what it's lowered on.

That chrome strip will probably come off with a good tug.

It looks like the door handles and mirrors have too. I'm curious what's been done to it too, can't really do anything until I get the MSP working and we have all the house stuff figured out. I'm sure it'll be gone by then.

I was annoyed enough yesterday, that I rewired my whole sound system last night, and I'm paying for it now.

Woohoo!! Finals are over!!!! I can almost have a life now! HAHA

Does anyone know where to find Piloti shoes these days? I read they filed for bankruptcy, which might explain why I can't find any in size 12. Anyone know of an alternative? I wish I didn't wear them so much, mine are pretty worn out.

Edit: I think I may have found someone with Piloti shoes in Size 12. This Site shows they have them in size 12. I just placed my order so hopefully they don't email me saying they don't actually have them in stock LOL.

Thomas,

Regarding my subs/box. The dimensions are 34L x 16.5D (without the amp on the back, add another 1.5 with the amp), and 15.5H. The subs are Rockford Fosgate P2's.

alright, next meet or dinner we have, i will most likely pick those up from you.

They are the dual voice coils, right?

quick search of crutchfield says yes.

Anybody have exciting plans this weekend? We're taking Kennedy to Wildlights at the zoo tonight and I'm meeting up with Ivan at some point if he doesn't stand me up again. Hopefully my neighbor will be home so I can use his voltmeter, get the MSP running and get the panel for the v-brace off for Evan.
