Boost Won't Change

Hello community. This question may have been answered previously but here goes. I have a manual boost controller on my MSP and no matter how far I turn it, the boost will not change. (Not saying I put it to full blast) The car feels like it spools a lot quicker when I turn the controller up a bit, but the boost on my gauge still reads about 5.5psi. I talked to Preferio about this a while back and we tried using his boost controller, tried unhooking the BOV, and a couple other little things but it didn't help. He suggested that it was my wastegate backing out of my turbo. Does anyone else have any input on this because I am looking to put my MSP on 8psi. But that will be impossible if the boost won't change no matter what I do. Thanks.

pfft i'm surprised Chris didn't blow your s*** up hes good at that. it sounds like maybe you need to thread the wastegate up some to give it more tension for a better seal

You think that would help? If I thread it up quite a bit, do you think I could bring the boost down with the boost controller so it doesn't hit like 10 psi? haha

Yeah. I am switching out the wastegate tonight. Hopefully this will solve my problem. I'll let you know of the results.
