Anyone have any experience with this product? I was thinking of doing my rims with this...

But then thought what they hell, If it comes off as easy as they say it does, then why not do the whole damn car!

Opinions, feedback, b****es, moans, gripes, complaints?

There were a few people that have done entire body panels. Check out youtube. There was even a Subaru WRC that had a hood coated with it.
As for the wheels, search around for examples (m...s..f...org/forum/f369/plasti-dipped-wheels-80192/)

i know this is few months late, but plasti dip is an awesome product , i have used it to paint wheels multiple times the only thing is you gotta make sure you get like 2-3 good coats so it peels easy . if your still curious about doing your whole car there is this site which has some vid's of doing a car , i believe it takes like 5-6 hours to do but pretty cool looking

I did my OEM wheels with plasti-dip as well as blacked out my emblems. The emblems have held up over the winter just fine. The wheels look great after a month. As punk said, make sure you get good coats on so you can peel it off if you don't like it.

Worst comes to worse, if you don't like it, take it off.

I saw someone do their entire roof (I think it was on this forum) and it didn't turn out very well. But as others have said they just peeled it off. Just from what I've seen done with it I'm not in love with the product.

I have it on my wheels grill and lip. Holds up very well and very easy to remove. Check this out also http://www.dipyourcar.com/
Heres some pics of it

I think I need to start messing with this stuff. I need to do the wheels on my MSP, how much do you need to coat all the wheels 2-3 times?

I'm going to paint my '11 Speed3 in Orange. The wheels in Blue. The stuff is suppose to arrive any day. I will take pics and post it sometime next week.

You are going to do your whole car? Let me know how it turns out. I would love to do my car red. I think the car would look so nice that matte red. I have black right now and i like it but i would have gotten a red car if they would have had both.

I have CF film on the hatch and the hood. Where I live, all we have is wind, HOT and humid, so, the CF film does not like to stay fully attached to the car. I will remove the CF film off the hood and paint it orange, along with the rest of the car except for the hatchback door and some parts of the rear bumper.

yeah the reason you want to coat it 4-5 times is to make sure its thick enough to remove easily down the road as well, if you dont do a thick enough coat it is a pain to peel/rub off....ill post a vid of a test coat peeling it up to show how easy it is to remove (if coated decent)

this was with 4 pretty good coats of plastidip, sorry if vid isnt best it was shot with my cell phone

Paint the Red RX-7 with some plasti Dip. She will like ya doing that to her baby. (whistle)

Plasti-dip is a pretty good way to experiment, I did my wheels with 4 coats each and they came out fine. And supposedly its easy to peel off, but I havent needed to yet. My friends have tried peeling it off on their rims and have said its actually a major pain in the ass, and sorry that this is pretty late lol.

Well, since our cars put alot or brake dust on them, it's a PITA to keep them clean, unless, you plasti-dip them in black as you did. In the near future, I'm going to have my rims powder coated in a different color. Also, I'm going to order some new brake pads in the very near future.

Oh, what color are you gonna do it? Im eventually gonna try and get MB Battles in gunmetal or I might get like '06 Rx-8 rims and have em painted
