The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Don't make me take a picture of my car. Not only does it need washed, the inside needs cleaned bad.My kids have thrashed the back end of the car.

I wish that I had taken a picture today before I cleaned it. I would have taken your bet in a second.

i was jokingly saying that but you would have lost the bet anyway, i went to the shooting range today, its a good 1.5-2 miles back a dirt road that was nothing but mud thanks to all the snow melting, i currently have a car that is gray from all the salt this week and now brown from all the muddy roads today

What do you guys think of a Phantom Blue Mica or Velocity Red MSP. The whole car will hopefully be getting repainted this spring. I love titaniun on the car, but I really like the Phantom and Velocity colors and don't know what to do. I loved how the Phantom color looked on the 07 Mazda3, but that car a little bit more curve to it and allows the color to make that transition from blue to a greenish blue. I think if that color was on a MSP it wouldn't look as good. There would be less transition between colors and I think the panels would either look blue or greenish. IDK? Where as Velocity Red, what can I say? It is my favorite Mazda color. I think it would look great on the car and make it look way faster than it really is. So this is my biggest choice for the MSP this coming spring when tax money rolls in. I'm hoping to do most of the prep work (to save me some cash) so when I take it in they can just spay the sealer, paint, then clear. I want to paint my interior pieces to match so I think I'm going to hold off on the center consel and trim.

Looking for inspiration and not finding much. I loove those colors, but I just don't know if they fit well on the MSP. Might just have to stick with titanium. I guess I could always mess around with the interior to give it some color contrast and pop.

i never really said it but i dont like titanium msps, there are so many. and the color isnt bold enough to match the car. try the 07 mazda 3 blue/green. it wont attract too much attention and itll look incredible. velocity red is my favorite color as well, but try looking up the color code on the prototype red race crz. its red with an orange flake to it, and it looks stellar. i think this color is cool too.

I do like the option of going Phantom Bue Mica with bronze rims and trim.

Might be getting a blazin yellow rear lip. Will have to adjust the exhaust this time so it doesn't melt.

Whitney (Levi's car) would still win, Ivan. That car is always dirty. haha! Dirty girl for life!

Corey, the only thing about a full body paint job that would irk me is the door seams and under the hood. That looks ghetto. But I like silver/titanium. But even though you don't like it, that BMW green looks awesome. But I'm not a fan of bright colours, it draws too much attention. But Phens VR paint does look awesome, especially when it's clean and in the sun. It just pops there is so much flake in there.

I would be painting everything. Door jams and under panels. I don't know about the engine bay though. The silver that is there is nuetral and might have to stay until the engine is removed.

Ahhh, well in that case a new complete paint job would be sweet. So many options though! Haha, maybe you could get someone who's good with PS to do some colours for you? Chippy did some wheel colours for me.

I might have to mess around with it. I haven't had a chance to mess around with CS5 that much. I'm more of a Adobe Illustrator user.

I tried screwing around with the color, but it is hard to justify that color since it is a mica and it has pearl transitions in it. I do like it though and the bronze looks killer on darker colors like that.
