What have you done to your MSP today?

Yes the car was running as perfect as the stock tune can be. AFRS are normal, the car won't even go into boost unless I ease on the gas so it's hard to get a reading. I guess I have to buy another cable, seems like I should be able to make this one work if it worked before. The CEL thrown meant the MAF voltage was too high so it's a problem with the MAF signal.

Well, the tuners express job is to manipulate the MAF signal being shown to the ECU, so if I were you, I would flash a tune of strait "10"s into the tuner. This should then effectively be doing nothing... and if you still have a problem, then you'll at least be able to narrow it down. Until you get there, you're going to chase your tail. If that clears your issue, then you can move on to the superstock map, and then start working out your AFRs from there.

I'm going to feel really bad if thing does actually work. The cable doesn't have a brand on it so I suppose I will get a new one.

I have been told the drivers should be for the device not the cable, so I need drivers from split second. When I connected it to the laptop it recognized a device but couldn't locate drivers for it.

What I don't understand is if it caused fuel cut on flipottowa's car then it must be a bad unit.

flip is using a sc on an auto, its no the same tune at all. as pointed out in HKPRO5s sc thread. he needed to add 440s and could still not go past 3psi on the sc

just so everyone knows, im the seller.

I included the usb to serial port cable. its a dynx cable. (yes i forget to mention the company name)

yes i hit fuel cut. why cause my setup maxed the system out which was not enough for me so i bought, install and running the aem fic.

thread followers please note.......
buyer has not hooked up ssafc to a computer and checked the map before running the vehicle.
buyer also did not solder connections (not a big deal i guess, its only the ecu)
buyer has been made aware twice about the split second map library.

Dude please go and get the driver for the serial cable or buy a new one. Either route you go also make sure your computer is compatible with the cable .

if i could remeber the model of cable and driver i would sent it. But i dont sorry

Just ordered a new air filter and a hydroshield. I'm sure the shield wouldn't help much if I drown my car, but I noticed a dead fly stuck in a groove on my filter currently in use, so hopefully it can at least prevent that stuff lol.

I'm just trying to get the car running right, I didn't mean to piss you off.
I have the wires soldered now, and I am running vista so it should be compatible. I know all about the Map library I've read through it way before I even bought the SSAFC. I ran the vehicle without checking the map because I haven't figured out how to connect my computer and I need transportation so I have to drive the car. I also thought when you said you reset the AFC it meant you reinstalled a superstock map.

ewwwwwww lol i had a wasps nest on my turbo over the summer. Not sure why they wanted to be there, but they did lol

i'm feeling brain fart currently... can someone gimme an answer, ...will a DX automatic harness (ecu harness) fit a msp? if not what's different?

might work if you reset the ECU.... hold the battery terminals together while battery charger is attached to get complete discharge.....

yeah... any insight?

A battery charger shouldn't be involved at all. just disconnect the battery. If you feel it necessary, then step on the brake or short the battery cables together. I've never found either was necessary. There are constant loads on the battery that will remove any residual charge in the system within moments without you doing anything else.

lol. nah. i mean. will an automatic harness, work in a msp...with a msp ecu

Not familiar enough with the DX. If its a 2.0l harness I don't see why not. 1.8 I would say should also work too, 1.6 I would guess would not work.

I wasn't going to respond to your post since I can't say for sure... but since you pressed, these are my best guesses.

that's what i'm thinking. thanks

I was kidding.. because of your comment i thought you were joking as well seeing as how you did the swap.

But no a automatic harness will not fit on an msp ecu.

sorry i was looking for the pink sarcarsm font

DO NOT USE A BATTER CHARGER !!!! I WAS KIDDING
