NEMOC Random BS Thread

Work has begun to bring the Civic back to DD standing. At the same time, I'm having bad thoughts about the car...

Morning!!! Another overcast day here, let's see if the kids can get some soccer practice in tonight!

Thanks Mahk....Tam is very happy as is Kaila and that makes me happy! ;) hahahahahaha Don't remember the name or model number but it is a Delta and we bought it at Lowes as a package (handle and guts included).

Phen...that is quite the undertaking for the Civic, no? After that drive you took me for earlier this year, she's a little beast. Wish ya luck and any more on the fate of the P5?

*edit....talked to Tam earlier and she wanted me to pass on her thanks as well for the get well wishes....

Bruce, the focus is doing great. Averaging 34 mpg with mixed driving. She drives it like a diesel, shifting way early, but thats how you coax the mileage out if it. Spends most of the time over 35 mph in 5th gear.

MS6 is doing well, but i'm putting fewer miles on it now that i work from home 3 days a week. My commute is mostly highway when i do go in so im getting 25-27 mpg on premium gas. Closer to 25 now that i have the bike rack on top. I need to get one of those Thule deflectors to help with the whistle and aerodynamics. I'll remove the rack once bike season is over, but now that i am trying to ride several days a week it just stays on between rides.

Looking into getting Amanda a decent bike too. We've tried a few at a used bike shop but nothing worth taking home. She actually needs a mens medium frame (17-18") because of her height and proportions. Going to look at a few new bikes today since the weather is spooty. I've also got some calls into ppl on craigslist.

Nope, no issues...hasnt even needed the first oil change. She even has the mySync NAV up and running...i dont quite understand it, but i guess it uses your phone to call a system which downloads directions and tracks your location using your phone gps. The phone integration is crazy.

Morning all. Had a nice but cool drive yesterday to Calabogie ON. They have a small ski hill and race track on opposite sides of the lake. 1st time the car had been out in a week.

Bought a CTeck battery charger to keep the battery topped up over the winter. Need to look for a car cover.

and make sure you bring the battery in the house....i found a nice used one for half price, they're out there

Why? I am leaving it in the car and hooking up the charger for the winter. I won't lose my settings for the radio and car.

Happy Monday all.

morning all!!

hit some snags on my retrofit over the weekend. gotta find some steel nuts to replace the junky plastic ones for the headlight aim. then i need another pair of hands to help with it all. kinda tough going solo!

ya, i guess with the charger on it should keep it warm enough, i always put min on a piece of plywood in my basement...batteries hate below freezing temps

yo...sorry i'm not closer...so what are you doing? i could guess....

well when the words "retrofit" and "headlight" are in a post, you could guess that im doing projectors

and its the truth!

^^^lol....now boys, play nice or get out of the sandbox.

Happy Monday! Back to therapy in a couple of hours and a follow-up with the Ortho dr. is scheduled for Wed. Can't wait to see what he has to say. I was able to do some minor things in the bathroom....got the trim pieces back up and bought and cut a new trim piece for the window. Also spackled some holes and removed the recessed toilet paper holder and 'patched' that hole with some green board. Should be able to sponge it tonight, if not, a third coat of spackle will be going on. I also took the electric baseboard off and Tam sprayed it down with some high temp white paint....looks much better than the tan it used to be.
