NEMOC Random BS Thread

We got some power flickers at our new house, but all the lines for most of our grid are underground. The in-laws on the other side of town weren't so lucky. They've been without power since 9:30 on Sunday. As of last night it still wasn't restored. They've got a generator so they can at least take showers and stuff. My parents in Foxboro are in the same boat, waiting for power to be restored, but they don't have a generator.

Chris, how's the new focus? Or she still won't let you drive it?

The New focus is great. Amanda went to Florida a few weeks ago and I used it to make some trips to Home Depot. It's fun to drive. Not quite as tossable as the Protege5, but definitely a little more pick-up once you get into the high revs. It has this enconomy computer that tells you when to shift and rates you on how well you do. To get a good score you have to shift around 2,200 rpm...needless to say, Amanda's score was destroyed after I drove it for 2 days. She's figured out how to get a 5-star shifting rating basically by driving around in 5th gear all the time. Her only gripes about the car: The headrest cannot be tilted so it is too close to her head when her hair is in a bun, which causes her to lean forward and upset her back. She also doesn't like the cupholders because they don't hold a water bottle upright.

Happy Monday All! Thought I would say hello today.

I have been doing a lot of travelng with my car this year. Thus my expenditure on gas has put a big hole in the money department. Not 100%a positive what I will do, but I have thought about it.

Just got power back last night, work got power back on Monday but I have a server that didn't come up... yeah just happens to be our domain controller and exchange server... FML.

Umm, weeeeell, NEPOC could donate to the AUF (Adrian Unemployment Fund), Adrian being my name, hey everyone. Im trying to get a damber set and some spacers for my yellow banana. (nana) but seriously i think the rain previous to Irene, Friday, did more damage, lots of flooding in Newton over sidewalks and halfway dividers on parts of rt 9. My neighbor's 911 didnt quite make it to the other side of the waterspot(dark)....coke head didnt pay attention so he got a redecorated 911 interior. Ok, be safe everyone.. and PM for meets i really want a meet, i never had one..
Hope all of our NEPOC family is doing well after Irene, looks like you all survuved the madness. If there is naything we can do for you all, please let us know.

1985 Mazda RX-7. GSL-SE Edition - 13B engine.

Power mirrors and windows, removable sunroof, leather interior, 2-part alloy wheels and the large 13B engine.
This has been a single owner vehicle and never been in an accident.
It has never been driven in winter and this is evident from the condition of the body and frame.
The car has 162k miles on it. The car runs fantastic and both the interior and exterior are in great shape.
The car is inspected, on the road, and running beautifully.
I just put (4) brand new Mirada GTX Sport tires on, a new alternator, battery, alternator and air pump belts, K&N air filter, fuel pump,
and changed the oil (dated receipts for all).

Asking $3900.00 OBO.

none of this was surprising, and it's all fixable:

Hello all. Picked up the new/old focus. Drives very well. Needs some regular maintenance, oil, brake and tranny fluid change. Will do oil and brake today along with new plugs and give it a good cleaning interior wise. Looking for some used winter tires on rims.

Needs some work on the rockers. Some of the rocker guard is peeling off behind the front wheels. Will pull some of that off and respray and add front mud flaps.

Was going to autox today but it is supposed to rain so I cancelled.

Sounds like a great car chris. Would've bought a new one but not in the cards for now.
