...what do I buy?

I sold my MS3 and now I have about $10,000 to spend on a car. What should I look for?

Daily driver in Nebraska so no little convertibles. Other than that I'm pretty open.

Wrangler, older WRX, Truck, or a 15 passanger van...lol but the first 3 are ones id look at it i had 10K.

Why did you sell the MS3?

get a miata and bolt on a hard-top

In the winter though? Still gonna be a PITA.

I'm looking for an older WRX, but they all have like 100k+ IDK about reliability on something with that many miles...

I sold the MS3 because it was too expensive for me to keep.

ms6?

wrangler and wrx would def be on my list. also a legacy gt.

I can't find and Legacy GT's in this price range. Sucks.

Forgot to mention, the cheaper the car, the more mods I can get outright. I have $10,000 to spend outright, on everything.

i know quite a few people that daily drive them year round in the north east winters, so they really are not that bad. a good set of dedicated snow tires, and they are almost better than anything AWD with all season tires. sounds like you already know what you want, though.

My vote is for a Miata as well. On M.net there are bunches of people that DD year round. Good snows are a must. Hardtop with defrost is also a must.

The heater is so strong in the Miata it could melt you, they knew people would be driving them in the winter!

BTW, you can probably find one for $5k with a hard top. By the time you bring the maintenance up to date, you'll probably have at least $4k for mods...

wrx reliability is greater than msp. You don't have to go wrx you could simply go impreza. An impreza is my next car. Nothing like the sound of a boxer engine.

Really? Small? It's a large sedan isn't it...

It depends on what year you get. My grandmother has a 2002 Legacy and it is a hell of a lot smaller than the current generation. Hell, it is smaller than my MS3.

Damn good car though.. I want one.

I have an Impreza OBS i like it feels great but would have rather had a WRX they have the same motor but not the same sound. It dosent have the sexy sound from the exhaust its only on the WRX and STI's its because of the uneven length of the manifold that makes it sound like that. When i bought mine i wanted the sound but sadly didnt get it because since mines is N/A so its even length. But oh well its still fun to drive my next car is gonna be a WRX

i just thought of this

get a msp for 5gs an drop 5 more in the motor...that should get ur bubble poped lol... an a quick msp!

How much greater? In my old Volvo S40 I had it in the shop every other month and I don't wanna do that again...

check a subaru forum, ask around I'm sure they'd be happy to help you out. My brother had a 95 impreza L he didn't take care of it :( but, he never had any serious problems with it compared to the msp. he had that thing for i think 250,000 miles or more before he junked it also :(
