That's awful kind of u, but its just me doing what I do. Nothing that special!

There's way better fabricators and builders out there.

But thanks for the compliments. I'm sure trying...

I like the way the engine bay cleans up with the inner fenders, if will great when painted and finished up.

With the engine bay partially mocked up I can see why you were concerned about space. Have you gotten the whole intercooler/radiator setup figured out yet? Remember, these spinning triangle engines are very sensitive to the cooling system. I highly recommend an unobstructed path for airflow to the radiator and if you're adding an e-fan I also recommend making a shroud for it if you intend to idle in one place for extended periods of time.

ya, space is killing me right now. i have an intercooler and a radiator, but im not entirely sure either of them r going to work. oh well. nothing like buying expensive parts and then not being able to use them. but if its not in the cards, then im just gonna have to figure something else out.

i am very familiar with the problems of heat and rotaries, and will be running electric fans also. and i was planning on fabbing a cooling plate/shroud for the radiator, but thanks for looking out!

once i get the turbo mounted, then i can work with piping and such. its gonna be a tight b**** in there especially with the steering on the same side...

I would use one of these if you have space for it

i actually have a couple of those sitting around, but i think they may overpower the bov, so i am trying to stray away from them if i can...

UPDATES!

well, i had to look back a page to see where i last updated since i am so damn tired from work, but i think i can pick up where i left off...

so i decided to cut out the portions of firewall that i had holes in from previously mounting my steering so i can start fresh and not have as much body work to do when it comes that time, so tape a line and cut them b****es out!

nobody wants to play along anymore lol. am i that boring?

so heres some 94-99 cadillac deville taillights. i always swore i would never use these tails since they have been done to death on minis and fullsizes alike, but i have a different plan for them... since the toyota rear window was two inches narrower, it left me some free space on the back of the cab wall to something unique( i know what ur thinking, my truck isnt unique enough right?)

so i took some measurements and did some comparisons of the caddy lights and they will flow perfectly well on the back cab. thing is is the caddy tails are meant to be sunk in about 4 inches, so i am going to do some custom work and make them flush mounted. thoughts?

anywho, i think itll look nifty...

and i hope u guys r proud, i actually snapped a few pics this time!!!!!

so now onto fitting the lights and getting the rear cab finished. then i gotta mount my steering and dash. figure out my seat mounting, and get my door panels on and then work on getting everything welded up solid for Sparks in the Ozarks! i am running out of time!

nobody wants to play along anymore lol. am i that boring?

im sorry what did you say? i was sleeping lol
and how are we supposed to guess whats going on in your head? but seriously those tails are gonna look sick unfortunatley i have no clue how you will get them flush and damn i was starting to think there was no manifold. im glad you are moving along.

and btw i found an awesome website called http://www.build-threads.com/ where this guys just post awesome builds that either he finds or people send him to. and now its your turn to guess. what is the first build i thought of when i found the website?

here is the email he sent me back. now get working

Hey Sean,

Glad to hear you just found the site, there's a few years worth of posts now so you've got plenty of content to read! Thanks for the link of the minitruck, I really enjoyed reading it, I've been wanting to feature a minitruck for a while now. I'll have to wait until there's some more progress before I feature it, but I will definitely keep an eye on it.

thanks again,
anth

Mmmmm! I can had Turbo Manifold??
I really like those Caddy Lights! Should make for a unique setup!
ya, itll be funky, thats for sure..

first off, that is amazing that people are interested in what i have going on. too bad its moving too slowly to compete with the "great" builds out there.

i will definitely check out that website, and i appreciate u thinking my truck is worthy. its almost getting to the point where i have a sort of fan base, and i think of how u guys will react to what im doing to my truck. my friends and wife think its funny that i take so many pics and spend so much time posting on a forum for u guys, people i have never met, to look at.

so ya, lol, there is a manifold. i was beginning to wonder myself haha, but i have pics now, so **** off! lol jk

on how i am goin to flush mount the tails, its a secret lol. jk once again.

i will share my secrets...

first i will cut the hole for the buckets to sit in. then i will put the lights in the buckets and set the buckets in to the point where the light sits flush. then i will tack the bucket in. then i can weld it from the inside and then all i will have to to is trim the excess off and then finish it off with a grinder. voila! flush fitting caddy tails!

well hopefully one day we will meet. that way i can see your sick ride in person. i want to buy a jeep later this year then in a couple years make a trip out west to go off roading out there. so if all goes well (i hope i didnt jynx myself) i will be out by you in a couple years lol then you can say you are putting them up for me . someone you did meet lol

Normally I'd say that caddy lights are played out, but I've never seen them in this configuration so it's going to look awesome! And as far as I'm concerned, your truck is one of the great builds out there. Not many people can think out of the box and put it into action and you're one of those people so don't sell yourself short. Oh and we're expecting a 1st class win when you finish up the truck and enter it into a show.

Have you looked at the "v-mounts"? Due to space you probably can't get away with the setups I see on a lot of FD's but I image you could do something with the radiator/intercooler so one isn't blocking the other. Something perhaps like how the radiator/oil cooler is setup on the FC? Then again, that would require you to move the oil cooler or do something different (dual oil coolers in front of wheels?).
