bruce, you seen this? it's in this month GRM...also an artical (tiny) about the mitty

i understand...didn't know if this was a real "bug" in the DBW system...Yes, been some discussion on Miata.net. It changes the rate on the gas pedal, makes the throttle respond quicker. Not an issue for me, besides it's over 300 bucks. Spend my money better elsewhere.
chris, you need to dance on the service managers head....get the district involved if necessary...this was an issue before and it's the same issue and it wasn't repaired...did you look on the nitro forums? is there a tsb on this maybe? i'd get them to pay for some of this somehow!A/C stopped working (again) in Amanda's Dodge Nitro. This is the 2nd time. First time was under warranty and they said there was nothing wrong...recharged and sent her on her way. This time...now that the warranty is expired, they have figured out the problem. It's the evaporator...which is conveniently located inside the dash. To get to it, they have to remove the dash...and the transmission. Seriously? WWWW TTTTTT FFFF? $1200 to fix a relatively minor issue and they won't even guarantee that it will resolve it. The car only has 50k on it. s*** like this should not be happening. As you can imagine, she is really pissed...afterall, one of the reasons she gave up the Wrangler was because she wanted A/C.
She's talking about getting a Honda Fit again....but now we've got the dog...who doesn't really fit in my car, let alone a sub-compact. Not sure what we are going to do. I'm inclined to just pay to get it fixed but I want a guarantee we aren't going to have to dish out more money when they decide it is some other part that isn't working.
nice!Morning all. Replaced the muffler finally. Was delivered late last week.
