Hmm, I only made it down the street in the test drive because it was making a dragging metal noise, which got louder with speed, but was still present with it out of gear. I think it was the brake dragging because it was pretty tight, and took a tiny bit of force to get the caliper and pads over the rotor after I bled the system. I mean the brakes don't really retract a whole lot, they just kind of sit right next to the rotor, at least that's how I understand the system. I'll try it again tomorrow without worrying about waking up my neighbors. If it was just the brake dragging, I would take it up to speed and let it wear off the rust, but at this point I don't have the confidence that it's not a different problem...
