Canadian EGR how to? can some one help me out?

I'm pretty sure canadian is the same as the US one, so the guide that's in the how to section should be good.

Also, keep this handy.

Also, try a quick search next time.

Cheers!

1/4 inch drive ratchet FTW. And you have to picture what you're doing in your head if not removing throttle body. Just 2 bolts, not too bad. Make sure not to lose the metal gasket that goes in there once you pull it off.

Nice! I will definitely be looking into this.

I just pulled and cleaned mine for the first time on the weekend, a bit tricky

My P5 has a US EGR valve, although the original owner purchased it in Canada. When I got it removed, there wasn't significant carbon build up, but when I worked the valve with my thumb, it was a bit sticky. I gave it some oil (after a cleaning with brake cleen) and reinstalled it.

I've noticed (2.5 weeks of owning car now) that during wet weather/low pressure, the idle drops ONCE when the engine heats up to normal temperature. After cleaning the EGR, it did it on the first day except it was VERY fast (like split second) and I haven't had the problem since. How long till it get's worse..... don't know. My P5 has 84K km.

the canadian EGR is 100 bucks, and is known to be better, my car has 180K miles. and finally started to be rough in morning and when it rains. if you already got to take it out to clean it you might as well replace it as it is a pain in the butt to take it out and put in....

I'm definitely going to replace it - just going to wait until it starts acting up a lot again. Seems to be fine now, but it's only been a week since I cleaned it. I remember seeing somewhere that it is $174.99 CDN from the stealership, but I haven't actually called them yet for a price. I'm kind of hoping I don't have to deal with it until the pre-winter service.
