Multicolor Wine Glass by JRI Photography, on Flickr

Rubik's Cube by JRI Photography, on Flickr

Two best artistic photos I have ever taken. I don't take pictures like this much anymore. I wish the glass were sharper and the lighting more direct (notice the shadows are slightly off left). For the other, the backdrop was posterboard, which causes it to look "grainy" in the shadows-that isn't noise. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

Oh yeah, the wine glass is real-no photoshopping. I did enhance the color and clean it up a little, but I took hot water and dropped in food coloring at the same time-it's cool how it all swirls together! Makes for interesting photography!

no, i might have posted these as links from a different site a little while ago, but just today uploaded them to flickr--that way they can be viewed right on the screen. no one likes clicking links they are not sure of....I am a member of redbubble.com and digital photography school, although I never frequent either site anymore.

Some tutorials for you guys. I dunno if any of you use twitter or not but I follow a photoshop tips tweeter.

I need a tutorial on how to use my camera for dummies lol. All the ones I find are not real good.hahah but thanks for the HDR one it looks promising!

macro shots are usually shot at high f-stops to increase the depth of field... not sure what the mystery is here... it's either that or focus stack.

SER what camera do you have? I have a DVD instruction for my 20D that might be helpful. kind covers all the basics and operation. As long as you know your controls you should be able to adapt it.

if your interested I should watch it once more... but then I'd be happy to send it to you. Otherwise there are obviously plenty of online resources.
