What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Well I work 6-7 days a week and live with my parents. So that helps a lot. If I had my own house there would be no way I could have bought the speed6. I can admit that.

I'm just bitter that I had to take out a shitload of student loans and have lots of bills living on my own... at least I have the Speed6 now at 23. Probably should have worked at paying off those loans more, but oh well, I want to enjoy a nice car before I have to deal with a wife and kids

Qwik, the 335 is right around 300hp and a twin turbo inline 6. Potent starting point, and with an intake/tune, you can get close to 400hp no problem. CP-e also supports that motor, so it's got a good following.

Dayum. I had no idea they were twin turbo'd. :D

Only reason I bring it up is it might be a more suitable replacement for the MS6. CPO 335s are right around $30k with decent options and are in VERY good shape, per their strict requirements for a CPO certification.

For everyone who has thier stock wheels and hates the brake dust

try this stuff out

http://www.autogeek.net/meguiar-s-wheel-brightener.html

just mix it with water to a 4:1 ratio, spray the wheel to ensure that it is cool, spray the wheel bright on the wheel heavily, let sit for 45 seconds and rinse

if you keep up with it, meaning do it once a week, your stock wheels will stay nice and clean.

ive previously used my stockers just for winter wheels and then a rep from meguiars came out to the shop to install a new mixing system and brought the wheel bright along with him, so he said "do you have any dirty wheels around" and i said "yes" so i went and got the worst looking stock wheel i could find and sprayed it with this stuff and im telling you it looks like it is brand spanking new except for the few scratches.

They're rated at 305 hp to be exact, possibly underrated as I stated earlier because it is fast, very as I have driven one.

You young guns >25, enjoy your cars, you'll have time for the other stuff. I still have my 93 Trans Am I bought when I was 17(now 31) been through a Maxima, SE-R Spec V Sentra, and an Acura TL type s before the MS6. And my pride and joy is an 08 CBR 1000rr(below). I love speed and motorized vehicles if you can tell.

Direct from BMW site:

Generating 300 hp and 300 lb.-ft. of torque at 1400-1500 rpms, this advanced inline six is our first turbocharged engine offered in the U.S. in decades. Turbo lag has been virtually eliminated, thanks to Double-VANOS "steplessly" variable valve timing, direct fuel injection, and BMW's inspired use of the latest TwinPower Turbo technology. By using direct fuel injection - a high precision fuel injection system - we have overcome the traditionally poor gas mileage of turbocharging. The engine's innovative design includes an all-aluminum engine block with cast iron sleeves for durability, and a direct fuel injection system that also cools the engine. A cooler engine allows for a higher compression ratio (10.2:1 vs. 6:1 and 7:1 in other turbos), which translates into superior emission control, greater fuel efficiency and, most importantly, a thrilling performance.

Sounds like a great car but priced as I want - $53,000+. That is a lot.

Taylor, I think if I was going to leave the Speed6, and if we had a second 4-door car, I'd seriously look at the 335. It's great looking and fast, with good potential for more if you want it. The Evo looks cool, and is probably a lot of fun, but I think you might get sick of it faster than the Speed (or at least I feel like I would).

I would have a tough time giving up the AWD, so I might look at that version, although I might be convinced to own my first RWD for dry road fun.

...scared the s*** outta me

...i dont get full 100% traction till mid 2nd gear on street tires

but man. its EPIC.

That is awesome Boosted! can't wait to hear more.

Changed the oil and installed the grounding kit. Found out my lovely wife ran into something and broke the lower piece of the front bumper. It's hidden but really pisses me off as we have had the coversation repeatedly about not pulling up so far in parking spots.

You are correct Funkster it's 300/300. An article in road and track has it's 0-60 at 4.8. Ours stock was what over 6 sec right. With a 26 HP difference stock for stock and relatively the same weight thats strangly much faster, I'll say it again I think they're understated on HP.
Qwik: I'll see if I can scramble up a pic of my buddies, his wheels set it off, thats all you'd need for the younger look.

Ordered me the ATP full length catted DP today, I'll surely be broke soon and I mean flat broke. Also, can't believe not one comment on my bike, it's triple bad a$$ and I know everyone on here isn't just car guys.

Got the oil changed yesterday, so now I'm cleaning the air filter and installing the AP while my gf sleeps before work. This Cobb is a PITA....

Found out the week my car is getting built, so I won't be with you much longer. The Mustang gets built week of 9/6.
