What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Don't start talking that way again Qwik!

Also, I need more info on this. I have been thinking I need a DH lately, and if this is really the next step, I'm all over it.

After a quick search it appears to be the Edge Products Insight CS... I'd love to see what it can read in our cars. If it does everything the DH does, and looks prettier doing it, I'm all over it. Fuel economy would be a plus, since I could replace the Scangauge II and not feel so bad.

Just read on MSF from Mark @ SU that it currently does not read knock (one of the most important items) and wideband a/f, or datalog. logging is apparently being worked on, but I wouldn't care about that as much since ideally I will have an AP doing that down the road.

I was super interested in the full touchscreen version that Steve posted.
however, after researching their website it looks like the product is not yet released for the Mazda. Only mazda applicable product thus far looks like just the Hypertech still.

we should find out if they PLAN to release it for mazda.
Not only that what you said about them trying to get it to read KR and data log would make it 100% better to be honest, i lub LUB my dashhawk, but a full touchscreen, larger readings/easier to read, in color, etc are very enticing for that Edge product!!!

oh and i agree, Taylor stop talking like that... AGAIN!!!! rofl. (lol)

The touchscreen and this version both work for all OBD2 equipped vehicles. The tuning is for truck applications, and the price is quite a bit more.

I like your MS6 better, I looked at those when I was shopping and the wing, hood, and grille were too much for me. Sharp car but maybe when I was late teens early 20's. Just IMO. Spend a little more on a 335I and you get class and a monster from the factory, my friend has one and even w/my mods I think he could walk me.

You guys.. I found an 08 white evo X in my price range. :D

This is the one I found for sale.

Ooooo and white! lordy. if i could stand to go from comfort to 100% power, i would too.
but alas, i need driving comfort, AKA ms6 = perfect balance for me.
i can still tune and track my car and its just enough power for me, but daily driver still is smooth and shexy.

evoX, purely a powerhouse vehicle. If you looking for some CRAZY amounts of track days or lots of power drag racing, then by all means get rid of the ms6. although your unique ms6 BETTER stay together in the hands of an appreciator!! (wow)

Its just finding some1 who wants to buy a modified one. It will be cheaper than any of the other stockers out there. So who knows. I just hope that evo x sticks around long enough. There is also a red one in the same range.

OH? ok so its just the tuning that isnt Mazda applicable. not bad.
well, ill hold off a bit see if i can find any used... if so, i hope they release a firmware update for that KR sensor and logging.

Sorry Taylor, I just can't get myself to like those. Way too track inspired to be useful for anything as a daily driver. I do like the white, and that one has the SSS package, which would be a necessity for me if I was to buy one.

Nooo, I totally disagree with the bold part. I had an Evo VIII, and it wasn't as bad as people make them out to be. I took it on cross country trips, to the track and daily-drove it. I would happily get one again.

I went out and test drove a used one with a local guy on here and didn't find it comfortable. I'm all about a sporty car, but for someone who might be settling down with a family, that car is about as useless as it comes (speaking of him, not me).

I don't know, you're spending an awful lot of money on something that is entirely built for track duty. They put most of their eggs in that basket, and not much else.

ugh, I hate the mod bug. I thought the Hypertech tune would silence it, but its biting again even harder! I want a TMIC, RMM, and catback exhaust now... but I have to buy tires...

it never ends...

I would have to drive one to see what u guys mean. if it is anything like the sti I wasnt too impressed riding with my friend in his. Is it just a stiff suspension making it a bad ride?

AS sad as i would to see you get rid of your MS6, do what you feel you need to in order to be happy.
Those that are more power hungry know they cant go too far with the MS6.
the ms6 is more for those content with basic tuning and not going monstrous power numbers. It sounds like you really have the itch for a way more potential capable powerhouse.

and i have to agree with steve, it is no where near the balance of comfort & power that the MS6 is unique for.
It is not quite as harsh as the older Evos since they been trying to slightly improve the creature comforts, but it remains a predominantly rally centric car. nay-sayers are denying that fact. Sure there are many that dont mind, but they knew what they were buying, or are rationalizing.

The ride is about as harsh as you can get the ms6 on coilovers. It more-or-less boils down to lack of creature comforts, boring interior choices, fairly loud interior noise, and surprisingly tight interior space. personally i love the way both teh new STI and evo drive, but i know realistically the Evo would KILL me for a daily commute. track-wise, id love either one.

buahah, i hear ya. I spent SO much last year beyond my budget. Than spent a bunch for my vacation thinking my mod bug was satsified for a full year. Not at ALL the case! im always finding myself looking at my mod list and searching for good deals despite the little voice in my head saying "YOUR POOR!! YOU CANT AFFORD TO MOD THIS YEAR!!!"... ugh. i barely was able to resist hitting the "purchase" button for a corksport TIP yesterday, LOL!!
