MSP 2731 Goes Forged

That s*** looks sweet. I like how you even substituted the black for blue on the valve cover where I'm guessing the lines for the injectors go. Lol I don't know what everything under the hood is but I'm trying.

i guess we should start lining up for rides. haha. you guys are using split second to tune right? taking it somewhere to tune it? or damian are you tuning it yourself?

yeah split second. i dont know much for tuning yet. i'm gonna upload a map that is closest to his and hope it runs pretty well. we'll see about tuning later when i learn more.

I can't wait to give people rides in it! And I will be getting it dyno tuned as soon as possible.

Thank you, it is going to look so tight once it is all finished! And I think you might be referring to the plug wires?

I guess the coil packs feed into that so sure lol. Whatever it looks sick regardless, get a new valve cover!

I have already ordered a powder coated valve cover and it should be ready in like 2 weeks. It will really look sick once I get that on!! Then I want to get rid of the plastic coolant bottle and clean up a couple other things and I think I will be done under the hood. At least for a while...

Candy blue like this one but I decided not to get the letters brushed.

Im excited!

I don't remember the exact number but mine has a little less than 30K on her so I have low miles covered as well. Good try though.

well.. good news tonight i guess...from ghost ones car-2731

i got everything put back together. i started the car.. it started! and ran.. bad though.

at first the idle was holding/pushing up from 2k to about 3500.. then when i readjusted some things and tried again, it was very quickly, going from 2000-2500/3000 rpms up down up down up down. i'm not sure why this is..

things considered as possible issues:
-not having a 440/28rs/fmic/walbro map installed(so running on the superstock map
-possible vac leak, although i didn't really hear anything
-IAC valve dead

any thoughts??

also zach, the coupler/reducer that was 3" to 2" was incorrect. it's actually 3" to 2.25".. go figure.. so that one particular has to be sent back.

best way to find a vacuum leak is to get a air compressor. Take off a vac line (like the w.g.a.) and hook up the air tank to it and pump it full of air. You'll more than likely hear it, but if you still have trouble finding it use soapy bubbles.

do you not have a vacuum guage?

While I was hoping for the best I can't say that I'm to surprised by this. Doesn't look like I will not be making it to Carlisle this year. I will get a RA for the return of the coupler.

Run the stock tune. If you still have issues, check the MAF.

With everything going on...like Kooldino said. I'd like to add....put the stock injectors in...it'll be worth it. Once the car feels solid then put the 440's and learn how to tune with AFC. Actually I would learn to tune at lower boost/stock injectors...then move to the next level. Too many mods at once...where the hell do you look first.

Bingo.

i'm putting the stock injectors back in soon. i can't remember how to flash from the computer onto the afc... soo if you know, let me know!

the cord DOES connect now though, i bought a new one. pricey little bastards at 20.00.

also, discovered an oil leak at the oil return line, ******* clamps. that'll be fixed shortly. sooo good and bad news i guess. but it'll all get worked out.

alright. i swapped the injectors today. went to turn it on..it ran for a half second. then there was a whining and sputter. it appears the manifold is leaking.the intake manifold. so i'm going to try and redo that or something. it's at my house now... we'll see where this takes me.

does anyone know how to flash a map onto the afc? i'm looking for a step by step. thanks.
