MSP 2731 Goes Forged

alright. i swapped the injectors today. went to turn it on..it ran for a half second. then there was a whining and sputter. it appears the manifold is leaking.the intake manifold. so i'm going to try and redo that or something. it's at my house now... we'll see where this takes me.


does anyone know how to flash a map onto the afc? i'm looking for a step by step. thanks.

anyways, the intake manifold gasket was bad so i replaced it. no more stupid idle and s***! HOWEVER!!!!! the left side injectors are leaking so it's missfiring.

still though, this is a huge breakthrough!!
 
Grind down a little off the fuel rail spacers to get more compression on the inj seal grommets or get new grommets but their like $13 a piece from the dealer... I saw someone got some from the autoparts real cheap (they didn't have anything available when I needed them)

im not using spacers. i think it's the o rings themselves.

i think so. i'll get it worked out. you might have it by next week dude! so strap up and get prepared to come pick it up! i'm prolly gonna bump the 440s back in place.

Sweet good luck! Tearing out my tranny today after the last of my parts come in this morning fc throwout bearing. A couple months avoiding 3rd and a slipping clutch will be over!

well i guess you're all getting blessed with some good news!! i got the 440 injector map on. the car runs.. but not QUITE done. i have 1 injector 0-ring leaking out some fuel pretty bad!, but this is all ok, because i'm picking up the o rings tomorrow morning..

crossing my fingers here zach, but you might be able to pick up by wednesday bro!
 
ALRIGHTYYYY..

so i fixed all leaks, put in a new tstat and temp sensor. doesn't overheat anymore!:)

the car idles very nicely with a vac of 23hg:) when driving the car it runs nicely. the only issue is getting into boost. it...doesn't. once it starts to try boosting it goes a bogs down a lot. i believe it's to do with the tune. right now i believe i uploaded the 14psi map for the 28rs&440s from a forum member in the AFC thread. after talking to zach, he's coming to pick the car up so he can get the tags updated, and then tuned by KOOLDINO! :)

i'm excited to have been a large part of this car, and can't wait till it's back together...RUNNING all the power it can!
