What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Finally got my bulbs in today... got completely ***** on shipping and other gay taxes lol. Modding in Canada blows...

On a bright side, I should be able to install them soon and post pics :).

New tires? Researching shocks/struts? Steve, you sound strangely like a man with a long term commitment to his car...Has something changed?

Curb rashed my rear passengers side wheel. Thats what I get for being too careful and parking as close to the curb as possible.

get some curb feelers.. its a sick look (uhm) i always wondered if anyone did this on a newer car?? it was the rage in the 70s

and im putting Tokico shocks for the regular 6 soon ill let you know my results..

The tires were needed. My all-seasons were down to the wear bars, I got a great deal on the Blizzaks from Tire Rack, and pulled the trigger.

I'm not out of the car yet, so a little research and interest never hurt anyone. I still haven't made my decision 100% on what I want to do with the MS6.

Wouldnt coil overs be cheaper than a spring/shock combo?

Good quality coilovers won't be that cheap. I'd rather get a set of quality shocks/springs and do that. Besides, I don't want anything adjustable if I do drop something in the car, I don't plan on fine tuning it all the time, which just seems like a pain in the ass if you don't get it right.

Day 2 of clutch/flywheel install is about to begin. Wish me luck!

FYI, the How-to is only going to be pictures of the process. This is the biggest pain in the ass I've had doing this car and at this point I don't have the patience for a full-blown how-to. Sorry :(

Just washed and dried my car. Cleaned up the engine bay and the interior. Might go take it for a drive in a bit. Not a bad day. Nice and sunny at about 50 degrees. Might see if I can fix my boost leak later on tonight.

Hey so after having my speed 6 for one year.
I actually did find a 07 mazdaspeed 6 with the 2 tone black and white leather. so this saying that the 2 tone only came in 2006 is not true.
I found for sale made in 07/06 with the 2 tone leather. but it seem to be very rare.
just putting it out there if anyone is wondering. lol.

How's the clutch install goin Chris? Got any pics up yet?

Clutch and flywheel are in. Difference is night and day. Here are the pictures. There are some steps missing... those are the steps where I'm trying not to beat the car with a pry bar. :) FYI, you cannot do this in your driveway or up on jackstands. I didn't have to loosen the turbo, but had to pull the entire subframe off. The transmission and PTO have to come all the way out (obviously) and the engine has to be suspended above the car. This is some serious work, so if you don't have access to a lift, have all the required air tools, and are not familiar with this type of work... DO NOT ATTEMPT.

With that said, it feels great to be rid of the stock clutch. Poor OEM clutch disk was destroyed and the pressure plate and flywheel both had hot spots on them.

6 Hours total install time.

You took out the center diff?? We got by without removing it.... Told ya it wasnt going to be fun/easy...

My AWR 70 Duro MM and SLS test pipe went on today. What a difference!! Thanks to JBarone, Spec2k5 and chief_wiggum!

For some reason I noticed a CEL when I was pulling away. The test pipe isn't supposed to throw a cel, I thought? I'm going to try to disconnect one of the battery terminals to reset the ecu and see if that doesn't help.

I didn't get a CEL when I had it.
