Oil temp?

I know this varies from car to car but i was wondering what the average oil temp is for an MSP. i am running oil lines and they have certain temp limits and i need to know how hot the oil gets to make a well informed decision, thanks!

I can tell you that my engine coolant temp runs between 190f and 215f depending on the outside temp.

Your engine oil shouldn't exceed 300*F unless something is majorly wrong.

My average is between 200 and 220 degrees. On a hot day it will push up to 230 and sometimes even 240.

I think that the grade/type of oil you are running should have a small bearing on whether there is a problem.

Mine hasnt gone over 200 since ive bought my car. Im sure it will get a bit hotter come summertime.

alright guys thanks alot it seems the vast majority is around 200 or above. ill just go one hose grade up to avoid any problems.
