Speaking of wheel bearings i am on my fourth this time i replaced the steering knuckle, hub, and the bearing and it cost alot had to order hub and knuckle from mazda i have had alot of problems with the driver side bearing passenger just once. Has anyone else had this problem.

i may be having a wheelbearing/knuckle issue on my p5. steering wheels shakes a little bit on the highway even though the tires are balanced (at least they should be). and over bumps and if i move the steering wheel back and forth quickly i can hear a kind of clunking from the drivers side wheel. you have the same symptoms?

Sure did prematurely too, happened at the 50,000 mile mark had the whole hub assembly replaced.

you will also hear a rotating sound maybe very soft at first but will get louder and louder as time goes on replace hub and bearing at least recomend replacing knuckle bearing and hub.

Thats awesome Linux! That defiantly encourages me with having all the miles that are on my car because it is a DD for me. I think a lot about how many miles are on my car.

I just keep it in the garage, and there is usually another car parked behind it, so I just take whatever is more convienient. I'm about midway between Columbus and cincinnati.
