How do you not get tickets everyday?

escort passport 9500ix........enough said

^+1 Agreed, love mine, that combined with situational awareness and being smart I have only had 1 ticket the two years I've owned my speed. And I got that ticket on the freeway by not paying attention or having the passport.... could have easily prevented it.

So I found an blue 07 Speed3 on a local Toyota lot.
Now I normally drive an 99 Explorer, 5.0, handling package, CAI, exhaust, wheels+tires...etc. I havent had a "fun" car since my first, a 1973 Chevy Vega with a 225 oddfire V6, blew nearly everything away, including V8 Vegas, but,
OMG(yes I am a straight adult male and said OMG), that Speed is AWESOME.!!!!!!!!! ...
Um, V6? V8? I don't see any reference to that anywhere. I had a friend who campaigned a '72 with the inline four through many autocrosses. It finally died when he took it sideways over a concrete streetlight pad. Tore the oil pan off and the bottom of the transmission. That was at 180K.

Yep, the Speed is a hoot to drive. No tickets in mine (yet). Ticket in '06 in my Ram while shopping for my 300C and one again in '06 in the 300. Oops. Before that, no tickets in 28 years.

God I hate those things. I have the solo S2 in my car that I never use. I don't really speed anyway. Every once in a while I go WOT for a nice pull but thats it.

My parents both have the escort passport with GPS and all that s***. Im suprised one of them hasn't been in an accident because of it. Its so loud and abnoxious and ALWAYS going off. Then I have to fumble to hit the button to make it shut up.

Seriously if you don't want a ticket on the freeway then just pay attention. If your moving fast its unlikely a cop is going to come up from the rear (no pun intended there). So just keep an eye forward and glance back everytime you pass a new on ramp. Works for me and I haven't gotten a ticket in the 6 years I have been driving.

Detectors are illegal in VA (like every damn thing else, it seems), so I have to go old school and watch my speedometer. Watching for cops is pointless... I've seen those motherfuckers appear out of thin air. ;)

Actually, I use cruise control a lot, even in the city when it's not stop-and-go. Set it and forget it.

i have been fortunate and have not gotten a traffic ticket yet (knocks wood). i got a no front plate ticket on new years eve, but the cop was looking for anything he could to pull people over to check for DUIs... (plus he was pissed because he was so fat he had the suspension on his scooter bottomed out)
i agree with others, as long as you are situation-ally aware and aren't driving like a total ass-hole you are pretty safe in this stealth-bomber.

Ain't that the truth! I love being inconspicuous! Not just from cops, but guys revving their engines and squealing tires and s***.

I try hard to stay out of trouble, but I'll admit I was naughty this past Monday... One of my worst pet peeves is people who won't even go the speed limit. (upyours) Got behind some SUV on a narrow-ass road that kept teeter-tottering between 50 and 55, in a 55MPH zone. So once I got yellow stripes I gunned it to pass his ass. Was up past 80MPH in no time. I slowed down and set cruise at 60 once I got back into the right-hand lane, but I'm grateful no bacon was around at the moment.
I was naughty last nite. a two lane curving on ramp, saw an opportunity to get past a couple cars and romped it. clicked cruise at 77 and a mile down the road got lit up, and very stern talking to by a state guy. He said it ain't about the speed, it aint about my skills. its about the other drivers and their perceptions of being passed like that

Guess he has a point

It helps alot, the speedo is hard to read on this car with the graduations so close. VERY easy to fet from 45 to 55 without realizing it

I avoid tickets by having a bright red car with flashy headlights, the loudest turbo xs exhaust available and an attention grabbing bov. simple lol oh and windows that are too dark

I've only been stopped twice in the two years I've had it, no tickets. Once for tint, once for slow-rolling a stop sign.

Not driving like an asshat helps, as does going with the flow on the highway and keeping a watchful eye.

I just keep my right foot out of it. 14 months with the car and no tickets. I like acceleration. I think the people who get caught are the ones who tend to speed in all situations, they just always go 10 over... I don't do that.
And I think most everyday driver's (you know, the ones who don't pay attention and talk on the phone and cause accidents?) biggest problem is that they have one set speed limit they always go. Seems to be right around 45. So they will piss you off when the limit is 55 on rural roads... but get tickets on 35 MPH roads. That's the way it seems with me, I'm always being passed on 25-35 MPH roads, but always wanting to pass someone else on 50+ MPH roads. People need to pay attention, it's just downright annoying.

Same here. I putt putt around most of the time but when I do get into, it's WOT. Have not had a ticket yet in two years with the car but when I do get one it will probably be a doozie.

haha. I just got pulled over for having 20% tint on the rear and 35% on the sides.. no tickets just a small talk with a cop. It was too damn dark over last few days which make ppl believe tint is darker. nevertheless having 20 rear with 35 on the sides here in IL is illegal.

My ONE ticket in my life was with this car for "speed racing" didnt get radar'd but none the less 427 bucks for a ticket is crazy lol luckily traffic school dropped it (beat a g35 from a dig on that one fyi lol)

And thats why you don't street race. and why insurance rates for these types of cars are so high. outrageous in some states.

Cosmic Blue and Silver are good sleeper colors.

GA just passed the super speeder law so must be more careful.

There are also a ton of speed traps and unmarked cars in VA.
