can anyone help? i have an 08 cx-9 and would like to get sirius radio in it. i know the 09 model they have a kit for it but i haven't found for the 08 model. is there one out there?

Yes. Just call your dealer parts department or check on eBay.

Your dealer is incompetent and don't know the products that they sell.

Ceric is correct. Of course it's available!

It's listed as an option in all 08 models and listed in the accessories for the 8 CX-9 Brochure! See attached!

Sirius Canadian

sorry for the question but does it matter if it is a US model or Canadian model? they say that the Canadian model stereo is not setup for it.

It's definitely available. I have one in my 08 GT. When I wanted to order it, the dealer first told me I couldn't have satellite radio with the nav system. I didn't think that made any sense so I kept pressing them to look into it. Turns out there's no problem installing it.

I can't imagine the stereo being different between the US and Canadian models.

It seems for some reason, that the dealers don't want to be bothered with the satellite units so they make up all kinds of excuses to not have to install them. I'm sure Sirus-XM wouldn't be happy to hear that!

Quick follow on question: Can you have both the aux jack and the satellite? I heard that it was an either/or thing.
