433WHP Mazdaspeed 3

come on how is that cheating? it's a modification just like all the other stuff so you'd have to call that stuff cheating too, since it's no longer in factory condition

personally i think that hp would have been better suited in the awd ms6 (unless of course that drivetrain could never handle that kind of power)

Well i think more than one in here took my humble opinion too personal i believe. Well like i said nice numbers but no pride if you ask me. anybody can basically add a wet, dry, direct port or what ever you call all of the available kits and make nice numbers with 50,100,300 shot nos after the juice is gone you come back to reality. i mean its a nice addition tho.

I dont think anybody took anything personally. They just disagreed with you.

Men and that is just a bottom end billed imagen a fully bullit mottor .

how much more built are you talking? head work? there really isn't much more one can do aside from what was done on this engine thats going to make a real difference.

how is he putting that power down to the asphalt, ms3's don't launch too great without spinning through the first three gears, i'm sure he's a killer from a roll.

I'm sure the launch control helps a little bit...

I think this is the last platform I would shoot for 400whp on.....Evo X does five hundo on the stock block.......im just sayin'.....

i think the platform is fine. I just dont think anybody has truly mastered the ecu yet on it. One big thing that has been brought up and I am interested in following more is the RPM at which peak tq is made at. Think about how many of hte blown engines have blown at low rpm...

And people have done 700 whp on a stock S2000 engine block. But most high numbers on stock S2000 blocks settle around the low 500's.

You can't really make use of that much power on a fwd, you're just going to constantly be spinning.

Ok now you are turning into a troll.(fight)

the way anyone manages 400+ hp in any fwd car is called roll racing. if they want to do digs or run at the track they use slicks. problem solved. ppl pushing that much power in a fwd know better than to call someone out on the streets without being prepared.
hell most evo and sti guys out there pushing big numbers wont run from a dig cause they are to scared of breaking stuff.

Well i dont agree with you at all based on my personal experience. yes you can manage that power and more on a fwd, you just need to know how to play with the clutch and power and know how to race. theres lots of people that think having power on a fwd car is useless i can say to all those people they just dont know. Ive beat lots of car from a dig not to mention rolling where i race the most because there is where the fun is at. fwd car are faster rolling than any rwd or awd, using good griping tires and knowing how to drive solve most of the traction proplems also a combination of stuff to prevent help and sometimes solve, Good Suspension, Good motor mounts, Engine damper, good tires and a good driver.

Evo and Sti guys are putting the power down to 4 wheels, i've seen fwd cars running in the 10's, the thing is I don't know of any axles, gears, etc for our car's capable of holding that much power.

Might not be available for the MS3 or MS6 community for sure they do for us Protege owners as long as you spin some tires you wont break anything

They're still developing a lot of these parts for the MS3/MS6. There are beefier axles available, and I'm sure any serious transmission shop could build you a trans. that can hold the extra power.

Any joe snuffy can have a 400hp+ car, but it takes time and experience to get to know the feel for how to drive your car. I have friends i went on deployment with who came back and blew money on modded evos and sti's and although they are beautiful cars, watching them drive is like watching hellen keller run an obstacle course! hell i got in my buddies 350z and i stalled twice around the block!
