New BC Suspension Install

just got my BRs. What is a good ride hieght to start at Rogue?

Since you regularly track your car I suggest mounting them as is out of the box and letting them settle for a few days. Then you can get a clearer picture of your clearances and adjust from there. They are easy to adjust the ride height, just have to take the wheel off. I used a set of calipers to take measurements (between upper and lower lock-rings).
The slammed look is cool and all, but unless you like melted fender liners and premature shoulder block wear a bit of discretion will go a long way. ;)

+1

Another tip: Once you have your heights set, use some tape to cover the bottom of the bracket. Dirt and muck will get up in the threads. I'm having to replace one of the lower brackets because it seized up. Luckily, I had another set of cartridges, or I'd be replacing one of those, too.

I forgot to add...

This is what I used to prep my threads. Money well spent.

Gave them all a good coating before install.

Can you guys adjust the height by just undoing the bottom spanner and spinning the strut itself? I tried but it didn't give for me at all.

i've only adjusted using the two locking rings in the center of the strut. i'd have to look at it, but i don't think it would make sense for the actual strut to rotate....

i was planning on mounting them how they come out of the box, ( making sure they are the same for each side) and then go from them.

for you guys that said all the way down... i didnt buy them to slam the car, i bought them to get the best track set up.

We know that, it would be foolish for you to slam it. I mean, look at the people who said it, none of our cars are boosted or even close to being quick. hahaha.

If you read the directions, it actually says NOT to adjust the ride height that way. You end up reducing the distance the suspension can travel

To adjust the height, you loosen the locking ring at the lower bracket, spin it up, then rotate the whole assembly. It's not "easy" but will work. You want to make sure the threads are clean, though. This is good for minor adjustments. If you're wanting to make large adjustments, it'd be easier to just take the bolts out and spin the bracket, but you'll end up needing an alignment. Unless you're sure that you haven't changed the camber.

Yeah I just want to raise my rear just a tad, like 1/4 of an inch, maybe half inch, but still not that much. I loosened the lower spanner and gripped the strut best I could, it didn't budge at all. :(

use the wrench and spanners that are under the spring. If you're wanting to raise the car, put the wrench on the lower ring turn to the right. You're essentially spinning the lower bracket down.
