The movie "Knowing" showed Mazda3

I just bought it (impulse buyer) and I'll admit it was decent but the ending left a lot to be said. I did think it was badass that the Mazda got a lot of screen time though (and luckily wasn't annihilated like that truck was).

I'll use this thread to start a curiosity question...why does everyone get a 5 door anyway? Personally I've always thought they were kind of ugly (seems like the WRX STi is going this route too) but from everything I've seen I'm in a minority on here for people who own 3's. Is there something big between the two that I've just somehow missed or..?

More practical

I was a sedan person before I got my speed and questioned why Mazda would use the hatch model and not the sedan for the speed. Now I'm a believer and can't see turning down the added flexibilty of the hatch. It's just way more practical and with the added design cues on the speed looks a helluva more muscular and aggressive.

I thought it was neat that they had a 3 in the movie. That was the only part about that movie that I liked. It was quite possibly the dumbest movie I've seen since "Knocked Up". I actually got up and walked out of both movies.

simple. the sedans are a college chicks car. same as a scion TC is. or a honda civic.

lol damn. i hope that's not everyone's view or else i've made this mistake three times (owned an '04 civic prior to my two 3's) (bang)

side note: should we move this convo to a new thread?

Movie seemed to be about faith from what i gathered. However i didn't care about the 3, but i did notice it right off the bat. For some reason hatchbacks seem to be the trend right now, i do think they look cooler. I even like the older subaru's hatchback a lil more then the sedan.

Hatch and Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi is coming out with a hatchback sometime next year or in 2011.
They are seeing the success with hatches from Subaru and Mazda.

Although I have a hatch, I prefer a sedan like the Speed6.
