East USA Roadtrip!

if you get stuck in atlantic beach, fl area hit me up. I'm always up for meeting fellow forum members.... btw when you take the fairy in jacksonville, hit me up.. You will literally be just down the road from me.

I added you to the members to meet list.

30 days left until liftoff from Gardermoen airport now!

TomTom North-America map is updated, vaccinations update is done and holiday mood is starting to seep in. Everything should be ready to go, just 19 days from liftoff towards NYC. (even though the airline company sends me the wrong way first :(

Stil nobody considers joining in on the fun?(wink)

Which Tom Tom do you have? The one 3rd edition?

I have a Go920T software upgraded to Go930T. It has room for map covering North America and Western & Central Europe at the same time.

Not much room for anything else, but still you can have some fun with it:

ah ok I was curious if you had the same one that I have.

I borrowed the TT one 2nd edition for a while, and it worked well, didn't go with the 3rd edition because it hasn't got a SD slot for map upgrades, it was actually the only reason I went with a Go instead. I don't regret it, lane guidance and TMC is nice to have, even though not at all as nice as the new live models.

Last day at work before the summe holiday today :) now it's time for those last minutes preparations before I leave for Oslo on wednesday, like sending PM's to the people I'm going to meet. (cool)

Still not too late to join in ppl (wink)

Hey Hans, got 3 boxes total for you at my place. PM me before you depart.

Hi

Been walking around in NYC the whole day yesterday. Now it's time to pick up my rental and start my roadtrip.

There are some pictures from my NYC Walk in the New York section.

I can't promise that I'll update this daily, but I can always try. I have had the rental for two days now and are well on my way to Newport News, VA where I will meet J_Naoto today.

If you are on the east coast, look out for this red domestic one:

It took a while to get there because of some festival, but I also got time to visit Montauk Point:

Hey bud, if you can give us a projected date you'll be in the Washington DC area, I will do my best to get some Mazda guys out there for you! Besides JDM-P5 (Phil) we have D-rock240, Travo83, myself, mgerst1, and boostedprotegelx all relatively close to each other, and totally willing to hang out with other Mazda bros.

As long as you can give us a heads-up, we'll do our best to meet up with ya!

-Jeff

I'm sorry about not keeping you all updated, have been driving a lot and trying to get rid of my toothacke that has been screaming at me the last two days.

Been mostly on the road anyways, I visited VA Beach on monday:

I met J-Naoto and some friends there, but I didn't bring my camera with my then, mostly because I met them after dark.

On the way there I saw an interesting sign that said "Norge", I felt it was only natural to visit there, almost made me feel at home: (atually not at all)

There was also some small changes to my route made, I visited a small town called Ocracoke:

If you look at the map the only way to get there is a huge detour or go places you cannot drive:

Today I'm going to Jacksonville where I will meet StealthWyvern and other local forum members :)

Hard to know exactly, but I'm thinking it will be on the 24th

I alrady have plans to meet JDM-P5 and boostedprotegelx, but the more the merrier. (cool)

I made it down to Jacksonville and met Stealthwyvern and we went to the weekly thursday Jacksonville meet. There was two mx5's, one 3, one 6, a nissan and my Focus.

I didn't tuch my camera much today, so sorry about that, it was getting dark real quick when we was there. It gets dark so much quicker than back home here, but then again, it's going to be exactly the opposite on my next trip to the USA in December to January. (more about that in a thread I will start up soon in the California section)

it was nice meeting with you today. i still cant believe the rolling dyno thing that you was telling me about.

haha
Well I also told you that I have never seen it for myself, nor do I ever want to either, and I don't know if it still exist. It's a lot of if's and I think it's probably dismantled because I don't know how acurate is was / is - Personally I'm hoping it will just go down in history as an urban legend. (boom04)
