Can anyone tell me the production numbers for the 2009 MS3's? How many of each color, total number made, etc.?

...from a reliable source of all MS3's sold from 07-09.

I'm surprised so few True Red's, were they available in 07-08? Maybe Mazda just didn't make too many of them, I know that was the rarest colour in dealers around my parts when I was buying mine earlier this year.

That's a total of 296,000 cars built. How many have blown engines? 1% would be 2,960 cars? I don't think there is anything close to that. I don't know why I have become so paranoid that my engine is going to blow. I have been reading too much on these forums. I want to make my car into a track car some day, but because of all the blown engines, I have been thinking about switching platforms, but I like the car and had put some money into it, but recently stopped. 296,000 MS3 is much more that I thought have been built, the percentage that have blown motors is very, very low. I'm now changing my mind, MS coilovers or Koni yellows here I come.

Aside from a small number, most engine failures have been ones that have had some sort of tuning software... and then what increases that is the people that have the bigger turbos.

I too have myself worried but it seems the ones that are reported on these forums have been ones that have been tuning.

296,000 is probably closer to the total amount of us sales (of all mazda vehicles) from 07-09...

I got to see in person a speed3 blow, he was cp-e standback and fully bolted.
I have read recently that a lightly modded (intake only) blew. I plan on keeping this car for 5 years and then moving on.

I think the original plan was to offer that many in '07...it quickly changed with the demand.

Are you sure on this? Those numbers seem awfully high for 3 model years. According to the link below, that's probably close to a 1/4 of all 3's produced during 07-09.
