Road Trip to Orange County Choppers - May 1st through 3rd

Ok google maps says 13.5 hours. That gives us an average speed of 63mph. We will be lucky if we can average 55mph with stopping for gas food and not being able to speed like R-tards. This trip is likely to take us 16 hours.

i am leaving thursday night and driving to the middle/east side of ohio along the route. if everyone else wants to leave friday morning thats fine. i do not want to leave at 4am and fight in bound chicago traffic and indiana border traffic. its going to suck any time of day friday, so if i can avoid it entirely i am going to do so. granted, leaving at 1 am is an option, but most people aren't going to want to do that.

i'm perfectly fine having two groups heading out if thats what its going to need to be to work for all people. rob, anna, ryan and myself are planning on making the thursday night departure. if anyone wants to join us for that, thats ok with me. if another group wants to head out whenever on friday, i say go for it and we can all caravan back together.

ken, if you are leaving thursday night i would like to come along with you. i've done the whole drive 10+ hours on no sleep and be active all day thing and it's not something i like to repeat if i have to.

as far as the whole bed thing, be fair. if you sleep in a bed friday night be gracious and offer it to someone else who didn't sleep in a bed for saturday night.

I would prefer Thursday but I'll go with the majority. Also that's what I said earlier about the beds Anna

The way I'm looking at it... I'd rather attack this whole thing atleast somewhat well rested- I'd rather get there an hour later than losee the hour sleep. But I'll go with whatever the concensus is. It doesn't really matter.

I'll tag along as a passenger, im positive i can makeshift my schedule around.

Hey people check priceline and hotwire for hotel rooms. the "discounted rates" we are getting suck ass.

Are they for the Hilton? I'm sure there are cheaper hotels but this one is in the parking lot and we get to use the OCC under ground garage

For convenience purposes alone the Hilton is awesome. It also happens to be a really nice hotel. They have also agreed to let us use their parking lot for additional parking since we've already out grown the lot at OCC.

I am willing to sacrifice convenience in the name of saving $40/night and not having over 9000 people in a room.
