FWD vs RWD

The MS3 is disadvantaged from a standstill, but from 30 MPH and up can out accelerate a S2000. I tried it and by 80 mph I was a full car length ahead.

stock for stock the s2000. You can mod your speed 3 though. Can't do much with an s2000 for power unless you turbo.

stock vs stock you'll yank him from a roll. off the line he'll take you, but you should reel him in

S2000....hands down....

You guys sure about that? I have a coworker with an '05 S2000 which I have beaten time and time again from a stop. No, I don't blow his doors away, but I do pull a couple car lengths on him in the 1/4. Some very good drivers have managed a 13.9 in the 1/4 with them, but most only run 14.0 - 14.4 (wiggle)

The cars are close enough (he is better off the line, you a bit better from a roll), that mods might make the difference. But because they are close, the nod will go to the best driver. Experience matters. And making that 2-3 shift will be critical.

Depends. Is the s2000 driven by Vin Diesel or Paul Walker?

How about both?

how much of a better chance does a speed 6 have? stock

The 6 has a good chance if it races a S2000 from a stop. Due to its extra weight and slightly higher amount of drive train loss, from a roll I'd give the upper hand to the S2000.

Some of the members on the S2000 forums call the MS3 a "nasty lil' bastard" and advise against messing with them. :D

Car and driver only managed a 14.4 with the latest S2000.

maybe at sea level an s2000 is a threat. I am in Colorado and either from a roll or dig, the MS3 will easily outrun a s2000.

Actually the AP1 with the 9000 redline is a little slower than the AP2, which has a 8000 redline. The AP2 makes about 10 lb-ft of torque more than the AP1 and makes it sooner as well. The general consensus is that the AP1 is about 2 tenths of a second in the slower in the 1/4 than the AP2.
